I don't know what the origins of Halloween are except for the fact that it was a pagan holiday or something. Just to let you know: Celtic Druidism is not Satanism. most pagan religions like those don't even belive in the devil. Anyways, it's not that bad of a holiday now. I mean, come on. Dress up in stupid (yet sometimes cool) costumes and go around, meet your friends, and stay up till 3 in the morning eating yourself sick with candy? you gotta admit, that's pretty cool. Hey, i sometimes celebrate halloween (whenever i get bored). Does that automatically make me a devil worshiped?

Well i guess not, but is Halloween has lost its meaning, then hasn't Christmas and Easter too? I mean Christmas is just a day for Santa and gifts, right? It doesn't really mean what people use to say it means, and Easter is just a day for bunnies, eggs, and jellybeans! Heck the original meanings of this old holidays didn't even happen on those days. So i guess we can forget about Jesus' Birthday or more importantly we should forget about his death. Lets forget the true meaning of everything..... ugh, just like christmas losing is true meaning in the world, doesn't mean its lost to use as followers of Christ, in the same respect, we shouldn't lose the true meaning of what halloween realy is, think about it, do you think God like Halloween?

That Halloween has lost it's message doesn't mean that all the other holidays have lost their message. Halloween has changed; for the better, I believe. Also, to let you know, the definition of occult isn't dealing with dark spirits or demons. Occult - Adjective 1. of or pertaining to magic, astrology, or any system claiming use or knowledge of secret or supernatural powers or agencies. 2. beyond the range of ordinary knowledge or understanding; mysterious. 3. secret; disclosed or communicated only to the initiated. 4. hidden from view. 5. (in early science) a. not apparent on mere inspection but discoverable by experimentation. b. of a nature not understood, as physical qualities. c. dealing with such qualities; experimental: occult science. 6. Medicine/Medical. present in amounts too small to be visible: a chemical test to detect occult blood in the stool. –noun 7. the supernatural or supernatural agencies and affairs considered as a whole (usually prec. by the). 8. occult studies or sciences (usually prec. by the). –verb (used with object) 9. to block or shut off (an object) from view; hide. 10. Astronomy. to hide (a celestial body) by occultation. –verb (used without object) 11. to become hidden or shut off from view

Hallowe'en? All Hallows Eve, is its proper name. Or, if you wanna delve even deeper into etymology, it's Samhain. The festival of spirits, when the veil between this world and all others thins.
