So, you may or may not have noticed, but I have regained the internet, and I am fully prepared to take this guild and turn it into something that works for everyone. As such, there are a few minor changes.
The first order of business: We at The Serpent's Cove have an addition to our crew! Shadow has agreed to sign on as a moderater, and we are delighted to have her help in making the guild a well-run and enjoyable place.
Moving on, effective immediately, we have a new policy on spam. Well, no, we don't really. We still have absolutely zero tolerence for spam. Spam posts have no place in this guild, and will not be tolerated, and Diana's warning system is still very much in effect.
However, we do have a new definition of spam. Off-topic posts no longer fall into this despicable category. While being on-topic is preferable, it is acceptable to get a little distracted and lapse into a discussion of something totally unrelated. It happens to the best of us, after all.
(i.e. me).
Things That Are Considered Spam:
~ bumping
~ posts that add nothing of value to the conversation (saying 'I agree' and then leaving, for example)
~ posts that contain chatspeak or 1337 (leetspeak) or excessive emoticons
~ posts about things that are totally moronic (use your brains, people)
This is not a final list, but it gives you an idea of what we don't want. What we do want is intelligence. Posts that are thought-out and contain substance. On-topicness is still valued, but intelligence is valued moreso.
Lastly, we have a new, but very important sticky, the Feedback Sticky. All input is welcome, and all posts in that thread will be adressed. It used to be the Open Forum for Suggestions, in case anyone was curious.
