Curse of the Zodiac Fruits Basket is the story of a family that carries with it a strange and very confusing curse. Any time that they are embraced by a member of the opposite sex, they turn into an animal of the Chinese zodiac. This family is the Sohma family, headed up by nineteen-year-old Akito Sohma.
But as of recent, it turns out that the Sohma family is not the only ones in the world with such a curse - bestowed upon them simply by living in the wrong area at the wrong time. Most of them lost their family in the mysterious plant explosion that severely altered their lives just over a year ago, and are still learning to adjust to their curse, as they have not had a lifetime to adjust to it. There is not one trigger in particular to set them off, but they each have their very own. And when they are trigged, each turns into a creature of the Western Zodiac (Aries, Virgo, Scorpio, etc...).
This group of individuals have decided to move on from their home in the United States, and having heard some rather vague and unsure rumors of the Sohma family, have decided to settle in the same area and find this Sohma family. Together they live in the boarding house "Koudoutai Taku", owned by a kind old woman named Suu Takase who generally keeps to herself.
No one is really sure how the two groups will get along, and they can only due their best to seek out this mysterious 'cursed' family and hope that they can all come to accept one another.

3. Try to post frequently. If you are unable to post for some reason, please try to make sure you do not make someone else be stuck and unable to post because they were with your character.
4. No god-moding... though hopefully there's no need for me to say this, right? >> <<
5. No making up some trigger that's likely to never happen, but also not something that's likely to happen a dozen or more times a day of its own accord.
6. No one is to be killed without that person's permission.
7. No major story developments without informing all those who would have to be involved and the moderator, ME! first. All those involved and I must approve.
8. Just because something is posted in someone's profile does not mean other characters automatically know it. They must be told or find out somehow in the RP.
9. Only three transforming characters to each member! This means out of both groups of those who transform, not three from each.

Zodiac Transformations Aquarius: Turtle (because...who wants to turn into water? o.o)
Pisces: Mermaid or merman (so they won't die if they transform far from water... you can change it back to fish, of course!)
Aries: Ram
Taurus: Bull
Gemini: Split into twins, a boy and girl
Cancer: Crab
Leo: Lion
Virgo: Angel (it was the most virginal of things that I could come up with, that wasn't a small child or something...)
Libra: Arch-angel (there is an angel associated with each zodiac, in particular, Libra's is Uriel. But it is an arch-angel because of the balance this angel would have to have between spirituality and normal human vices such as fighting)
Scorpio: Scorpion
Sagittarius: Male A centaur - half horse, half man Female A hine - half deer, half woman
Capricorn: Goat

Application is the same for all characters, made-up or original, transforming or not. Just leave out the parts that don't apply to your character when it comes to those who don't transform.
