The long-bodied wyrm slithered out of the river and up onto the sandy bank, shaking her bi-coloured wings vigorously to free them of water. "I still can't believe how long it takes you to wash," she commented, twisting her sinuous body so that she could regard the creature who was still in the water. "You went in long before me and you're only just finishing now. There's so very little of you, what takes so long?" Bipeds, such strange creatures.
The blond elf gave an amused snort and followed her companion out of the water, reaching up to grab her simple brown dress from where it hung over a bush and slipping it over her head in one movement. "I just like the feel of water, plus it takes a while to wash this hair. Curly takes so much longer than straight you know, to get manageable that is." But it looked good and it suited Sapphire, so it stayed.
The red-eyed wyrm gave a dismissive flick of her still damp wings and coiled herself up comfortably. "Whatever you say dear, whatever you say."
The blue-eyed woman chuckled and grabbed a hairbrush from her pack before pacing over to her blue-gold companion and dropping down to a seat on the muscular coils of the wyrm's body. "Put up with it," she instructed, "it's this or a scruffy bonded and I know you wouldn't want that."
Elpis sighed and rolled her eyes. "Alright dear, fair point; we do have a certain image to maintain after all."
The blond smiled faintly and raised the brush to begin the chore. "Quite so love, quite so."

Shining in the sunlight the Amethyst wyrm smiled happily "Look a River!" she stated bluntly. Oddly the fire actually enjoyed being around water. It was something to play in as long as she didn't drown in it. Maybe her bonded would play with her too? Andrea smiled and ran foreword a bounce clearly seen in her step. "Hurry up!" she called with a happy smile purple flames flickered on her back.
An older girl about 17 rolled her eyes and chased after the fire wyrm. "Aren’t you supposed to not like water?" She said skeptically. Her ears were just barely pointed and some of her facial features were rather angular as well. "Andrea comes back" she called as the fire wyrm flew ahead of her.

Elpis raised her head as the voices reached her and flicked out her tongue to taste the air. "Looks like we have company dear," she commented. It was too early for her to smell whatever it was that was approaching but there had been two voices, both of them female. It would be interesting to have company, company was always interesting.
The elf smiled a tiny smile and got to her feet. "Well, my hair will have to do then I suppose; it isn't too bad seen as it's still wet," she commented to her wyrm companion as she tossed the brush back into her bag. The sodden locks weren't really all that bad she supposed. Not quite in keeping with Sapphire's usual neatness but no matter; everyone bathed after all.
After wiping the sand that had decided to adhere to her feet off onto a patch of grass, the blue-eyed woman stepped into her soft brown leather boots. "Ready love?" she quizzed with a smile as she settled her feet more comfortably into the ankle-length footwear and paced back to her companion's side.
The red-eyed wind wyrm returned the expression as far as her face allowed and nodded, a gesture very easy to carry out when you are essentially all neck. "Hatched that way dear, hatched that way." So saying, the blue and gold creature turned to face the direction the voices had come from and coiled herself up comfortably to wait.

The purple wyrm flew toward the water and circled around back to her bonded to tease her. The oddly child-like adult wyrm smiled when she saw the other two. "Hi!" she said with an exuberant smile "I'm Andrea!" Her tail flicked back and forth happily. "What are your names?" She asked circling around her bonded who had finally caught up then giving the half elf a playful nudge. She tilted her head and smiled.
"I said get back here" She called out trying to catch up to the fire wyrm only to have Andrea come back and circle around her then dash off again. The girl went chasing after the wyrm breaking into a fast run. Andrea had stopped and was rather happy about it for some reason. The girl sighed.
"Oh hello," she said with a smile "I'm sorry if she's bothering you, she rather enjoys being around others."

Elpis smiled at the humanoid and her wyrm friend as best her face allowed. "Not at all dear, not at all," she assured the biped before turning to face the purple fire wyrm. "Delighted to meet you Andrea," she said smoothly, bowing her head politely. "I am Elpis and this is my companion, Sapphire." What an excitable thing this fire child was and such a young half elf by her side. Most interesting this encounter could turn out to be, most interesting and possibly even advantageous.
The blond elf smiled at the pair and emulated her wyrm's head-bob. "I must say it's good to see another dragon and chosen," she smiled after a moment, sweeping her wet hair out of the way over her shoulders. "Of late Elpis and I have lacked for the company of our own." Wasn't that just the truth; foolish commoners without the slightest grasp of what it was to share mind and heart with a wyrm. Not that this couple were necessarily wise, indeed both seemed quite young but inexperienced though the pair might turn out to be, it would still be refreshing to share some talk with those who were like to herself and her companion.

Andrea smiled happily and nodded "It's really nice to meet you both!" she said. The young Wyrm looked as though she was going to bounce off in any direction even though she was standing still.
"It's been a while since we've met anyone either." The half elf girl told the other two "My name's Allyssa." she said bowing her head, Allyssa was pleased to know her best friend hadn't been wreaking havoc while she was trying to catch up.
Andrea blew her bond's hair and smirked playfully.
"Hey!" she laughed back.

Elpis gave a hissing chuckle at the purple creature's antics and, giving the young wyrm another smile, twisted her serpentine form about to stick her tongue in Sapphire's ear extracting a squeak of surprise from the blonde. "Very interesting pair they seem," she commented softly as the elf reached up to mock-swat her face. "Maybe they have useful information about where we could find ourselves a job or... similar. It has been a while since we worked dear." Not that they were lacking for money in particular, their last venture had been most lucrative, but the gold-bellied wyrm missed the action that came with their line of work.
The blue-eyed woman smiled and shoved away her wyrm's head, flickering tongue and all. "Perhaps we shall ask them later, love," she suggested as she turned to smile at the fire wyrm and her companion again. "Let us get to know them a little first, humm?" People were far more helpful when you knew them, and when they knew something of you too.
"For such majestic creatures," Sapphire said aloud, "wyrms can behave surprisingly like mischievous children, wouldn't you agree Allyssa?" When it suited them they did anyway. Chuckling fondly, the slim elf raised a hand to trace her fingers gently along her serpentine companion’s jaw. Today was turning out to be interesting.

Andrea giggled childishly at the squeak the elf had let slip then nosed her bonded playfully again. The purple amethyst wyrm was still in many ways an innocent child even though she was full-grown.
Allyssa sighed being pushed over some. She turned to the fire wyrm taking the large head in her two hands and gently placing one on Andrea's forehead and stoking vertically from her forehead down to he nose and cycled the action receiving a playful growl of contempt with a smile from Andrea.
’That feels very nice’ responded Andrea mentally.
The half elf girl turned her head being asked a question. So it seemed their private conversation was over. "Indeed they can." Allyssa had to agree.

"So then," Elpis said, adjusting the coils of her body so as to put herself approximately on eye level with Allyssa, "tell me a little about yourselves my dears, unless you would prefer Sapphire and I go first?" Either way worked fine for her, so if the half elf and her exuberant companion preferred to hear from herself and her bonded first she would be pleased to oblige. Now all she'd have to do was remember the history of Sapphire; it got so confusing at times.
The blonde elf smiled softly at the display of affection before her, sinking down to a seat on her friend's muscular blue and gold coils as she did so. "Don't worry about it love," she told her long-bodied friend, "if telling of histories arises, I shall tell my own and tie us together at the point when you and Sapphire met. Then you may tell your own history before that and not worry about confusion."
Elpis smiled down at her blonde-haired friend and dipped her head down to lick the biped's cheek. "Thank you my dear," she sent, "I do so hate to get things muddled"
