It was a cold night as the wind bent it's way through the trees, brushing by the autumn leaves as they began to shift color. Blood red eyes lifted to watch the moon filter through the branches onto his scaly blue hide. The hazy white light illuminated his scales causing them to glow as he slithered forth to meet the heels of his master.
The wyrm was rather young. He was newly hatched not more than a few week earlier but he had already shown increasing intelligence and his bonded couldn't be prouder. The wyrm's name was Alaois. He was a water element, just as blue as the sea with eyes the color of crimson. His bonded's name was Lsorir.
Lsorir was a rather strange man. He was garbed in a ruffled white shirt that had puffy sleeves that cupped at his wrists with black gloves pulled over his fingers to hide them. His vest was black and hung over his chest in an open fashion. He wore a gold necklace around his throat with equally black pants made of the finest material. His presence in this forest was certain something that wouldn't go unnoticed.
"Good boy." He replied when Alaois decided to not dabble and catch up to him. Lsorir drew in a deep breath of fresh air and smiled. "It is a good day for a hike, isn't it?" Alaois only nodded his muzzle in agreement though he could have really cared less for the woods. He kept his blood eyes keen, looking around for any sign of life that could be around him and his bonded.

Gods, he hated forests. The trees closed in about him, only brief gaps where he could make his escape should an escape be needed. However, with the shadows of night surrounding him, he found it very difficult to even find those. Shivering, the wyrm halted, closing his eyes as if trying to collect his mind.
He heard soft footsteps beside him, faint over the wind through the trees. The humanoid beside him shivered from the cold, though the temperature hardly bothered the wyrm of snow. When his eyes opened again, piercing the darkness with an ice colored blue, he felt a gentle hand being placed on his side, tracing the outline of his snowflake markings, never touching the white, only the gray nearby.
I hate feeling trapped. Fil whispered over their bond to the one next to him, though there was no need. No one could eavesdrop over them, but talking loudly just seemed like a bad idea.
Fil's bonded looked up at the adult wyrm, golden gaze noting the lack of a wind wyrm's prime defense in case of danger: fangs. The man was dressed poorly, a formerly white shirt barely hanging onto his shoulders, torn and stretched so that it almost didn't appear to be of much use any more, especially heat wise. A likened pair of pants hung on, though through the tears could be seen black hair covering his legs and arms, as well as more of the same hitting his shoulders, mussy and ill-kept. I know. Soon as we pass through here, we'll be done with forests.
We'd be done with them now if you'd only listened. Fil pointed out, his dear Eagen smiling up guiltily, shrugging his shoulders.

Hearing the faint noises not far from where they were traveling, Alaois' top lip pulled back from his teeth as he gave a low hiss. Even though he was young and it wasn't anywhere near the fierceness of an adult wyrm it was certainly somewhat of a warning to any other animal that might tangle with him. Lsorir only smirked but didn't seem alarmed in the least. He knew other wyrms and their bonded hung around these parts and it was slightly a test for Alaois. He wanted to see how the youngling would interact with others. This would be his first interaction with wyrms other than the ones kept at the Order. And those wyrms were raised much like Alaois had been and there was very little room for Alaois to grow there in mind and spirit.
"Come." He lifted his palm to the air and waved it forward in gesture. Alaois saw it and obeyed, swirving through trees and brush along the ground to follow the man.
Lsorir knowingly moved toward the noises he heard. When his eyes picked up on the pair he stopped in his tracks, watching them carefully as Alaois shimmied his body up his master and looked out at the two, still hissing as his head rested near Lsorir's.
"Interesting..." He stated under his breath as he moved out from the trees. Once he was in the opening for the pair to see he lowered his head, sweeping a hand under his torso in a bow. "I am Lsorir and this is my wyrm, Alaois. We saw the two of you were traveling in the same direction and we thought that you might like some company?" He kept his face turned to the ground as his words lifted from his mouth, trying to show himself trustworthy and humble. Besides, what damage could a hatchling or him have against a full grown wyrm anyhow?

Their movements had almost started again when the humanoid had stiffened, pushing against Fil's side to tell him to hold still. Eagen's eyes narrowed, familiarizing himself with the scents. The wind pulled his clothes with it, the chill bothering his body, though he trained his senses on the two unknown forms.
As they stepped into sight, Fil's tenseness seemed to fade, though Eagen remained motionless, a change humming through him, though he did not let it pass through. Only after their introduction did he let his head fall in a nod of respect. "I am Eagen, and my bonded is Fil." What do you think? He asked of the wyrm silently, still ready should Fil's instinct be to run.
I do not think they would harm us. Eagen gave a small nod, letting his muscles relax as he observed the other curiously. "We would be welcome for the company, if you wish to join us. If you don't mind my asking, to where are you bound?"

Lsorir bowed his his head once again as a lude smile crossed his mouth when he glanced back at Alaois who seemed quite taken back by these turn of events. "Thank you." The being standing on two feet replied as he stepped toward the two, Alaois trailing sulkingly behind.
"Bound?" Lsorir gave a shrug of his shoulders as he thought deeply about the question for a moment. "No where in particular. I just enjoy night walks when I can manage them. Plus it gives me time to spend with my wyrm." He motioned to Alaois who slithered sliently behind without a word, obviously not liking the idea of the other two being around. However, he didn't dare voice his opinion on the matter. He had been taught some manners afterall.
"I had a wyrm in my younger days and I use to walk this trail with him almost every night as he grew. It builds great memories. Alaois, on the otherhand, doesn't seem to care too much for them." Alaois gave a reptilian's smirk though Lsorir didn't seem to notice as he spoke. "But then again... my last was a bit more mild mannered than this little one." Lsorir continued to ramble on which by this time had completely lost Alaois' attention as the tiny wyrm began glancing around at the leaves, noticing small bugs that he began to tease with his tongue just for fun, nudging them until they flittered off in fear.
"Alaois... don't go too far off on your own." Lsorir interupted his story long enough to notice that the little guy was drifting behind the others. Alaois squeeked and caught a bug in his teeth, swallowing it whole before shifting his body through the brush to catch up with the others. "Honestly, I wanted Alaois to meet other wyrms." To this the nose of the small dragon twitched as his blood eyes glanced at his master and then to the large dragon in front of him. You've got to be kidding me... He spoke solely to himself as he caught up to their heels.
