History/Bio: Having grown up and attended school with his cousins Ayame Souma and Shigure Souma, the three of them are arguably the best of friends. Together they are known as the Mabudachi Trio, or the Super Handsome Blossom Trio. But while his two friends live in another house off the main Souma house, Hatori actually lives in the main building with Akito in order to treat him - and is one of the very few of the family that tolerates him.
Hatori is generally stand-offish and can seem like a real jerk to those who do not know him. He has a reason for acting in such a manner, but you generally would have to get to know him in order to find this out. And when it is found out by someone that they have learned the Souma secret, it is Hatori's responsibility to erase their memories.
Hatori was once engaged to a woman named Kana, but Akito disapproved so much that it drove Kana into a deep depression - Akito even threw a glass at him that hit him in his left eye, which is why he can now barely see out of it. In the end, Hatori erased Kana's memories and she is now married to another. But in spite of that, it is Hatori who treats Akito's illness and generally spends a lot of time with him to do so.
Kana was the reason that Hatori is no longer as cold as he once was - she was his spring. She once asked him "What does snow become when it melts?" When he responded with "water," she declared that it was wrong, and that the real answer was spring. It is now something Hatori is known for asking of others, and has only truly gotten the right answer from Tohru. But now Hatori watches over Kana from a distance, being the only one that has memories of the two of them, and still loves her.

When Haru exploded and blamed Yuki, Yuki calmed him down and helped him realize that what the ox did wasn't Haru's fault. Since then Haru has claimed that Yuki was his first love. Haru went out of his way to protect Yuki from Akito, and even made a deal with Shigure so Yuki would be able to go live with him. Haru has also spent a lot of his childhood comforting Rin while she was having family issues. They've fallen in love, and although Rin is trying to push him away, he won't let her go.
