Today I went to a 5Kmile walk/run for the Race for the Cure event. I was sooo touched by the woman that showed up. Out of JUST the people who walked/ran there was 16,300 people! That had set a new record for out city. I'm not sure if anyone on here knows or have known someone with breast cancer but I know it's a hard thing to go through.

I've had a few friends of my family go through it and I'm afraid my mother might be getting it. She found a lump on her left breast a while back. The doctor said it was just a cyst but also told her to get it removed through surgery. My mother is as stubborn as I am when it comes to doctors..but
this is one of those times I wish she would listen.

I'm writing this here for anyone going through something similar. When I signed up for the race I was just doing it so I wouldn't be bored. But once I got there my mind changed on why I was really doing it.
