Association in Dreams

Sometimes objects, people or animals can appear in our dreams with feelings that we would not normally feel in that situation, i.e. feeling fear when confronted by a dog in your dream but not when you're awake. Sometimes this can mean that the theme of the dream is not focused on you or the object in question. In our unconscieous mind we associate people with thing by how they act and their personality. For example, I am not afraird of dogs but my sister is so therefore a dream for which there is a fear about dogs could be focused more on my sister.

Of course there is also the problem that the object could potentially be associated with more than one person. If this is the case other factors can be used to determine who it is trying to represent. These factors include the type of object (e.g. breed of dog), the environment you are in (on a beach, in a house) and the people you are with (friends, family).

You should not push a meaning on anything that you see in your dreams if it does not feel right. All the objects could point to one person but if you feel that it has nothing to do with them then it doesn't! For this reason, only you can find the true meaning of your dreams.

Meditation

Types of meditation
There are main different techniques in meditation all with slightly different results. Here are just a few I have tried and hopefully this list will also grow.
Focused
Focused meditation is where you focus entirely on an aspect of your person or an object, such as focusing soully on your breathing or on a candle flame.
