Hello, everyone. I'm kinda new here, but I thought I'd post a poem and see what you guys think. If I get some good remarks, I might post some more later. ^^ Please feel free to leave any comments.
Marionettes
What twisted marionettes we are And what a horrid scene we play out. What gaiety we have prancing around Not a care at all, not even a doubt.
We roll around in our own disgusting impurity And bathe in our foul tasting regurgitation. Sleeping with the enemy; cradling our bombs. Worshiping our own sense of bias preconception.
What a wonderful world that is our stage. Life, a story just waiting on its next page. Sucking on this .45 barrel is the new craze. Flirting with disaster is the new rage.
What happened to the cold tomorrow I remembered? Where's the crimson rain that burns my skin In the midst of the purple and yellow September Before the fulfilling chill of winter begins?
The mind, so brilliant but so purposely vague. The heart of man was once strong and bold. The heroes they once were in the eyes of a child. Now the hand of man is brutal and cold.
What a wonderful world we live in today. So wonderful, indeed, that we blow it away. The more and more I try not to stray The more I can't help being swallowed by decay.
The monstrous depression that has enveloped our minds Has began to run a scan on everything inside. We're transforming ourselves, hypnotizing ourselves. Evolving to the next predatorial stage of ourselves.
We'll trash the whole planet and move to the next Until everything in our path has been roost to our nest. The game's almost over and most never survive Wishing for one last breath to help them stay alive.
