Rules for Ranger Academy
Before you begin there are rules that govern this story...
a. Please NO MORE ONE LINES, IT’S HARD FOR THE PERSON POSTING AFTER YOU TO REPLY TO THEM. I know sometimes it’s hard to think of anything, but if you can't really think of anything to post, wait until you can.
1. NO GOD-MODING: If your character cannot be harmed extensively, or can single-handedly destroy a monster (excluding White Ranger when he begins or any ranger/villain who first begins, power ups/battlizers/etc..., or otherwise authorized by a moderator or owner), this is god mod. Also, no one character is more powerful than everyone combined including villains and so forth. This also goes for Villains just beginning, or trying to write yourself easily out of a situation. All characters are equal.
2. The 14 Rule: No team of rangers shall exceed 14 members, be it good or evil with the exception of a possible APPROVED teamup.
3. NO OUTSIDE RANGERS: No one is to create a brand new ranger to join the existing team unless approved. NO BRINGING BACK PAST RANGERS TO JOIN THE NEW TEAM - also unless approved. If they do not have anything to do with the storyline.
4. All Characters must have a bio: Please fill out and email a bio (located in this files section) to the moderator and owner emails will be listed on the bottom of the Bio Sheet. This is so that we have a record of every character we have on this RPG and it doesn't get confusing. All bios will be posted (Once approved) in the database.
5. Remember, THIS IS A GAME! We are all here to have a good time. As long as we all abide by the rules, we can do as we wish. No one person controls this RPG. The rules are here to create a reality for the characters to exist in. Anyone found grossly violating said rules will be given an email warning, and then the said character will be destroyed
6. Each Character Must post in a reasonable amount of time: We understand that everyone has a life... we do too... (sort of) but, in order for this to move smoothly, we must post within 2-3 days of receiving a post... the most time a week. IF THERE IS AN EMERGENCY, PLEASE POST. We will either make your character an NPC (Non Playable Character) or the Mods or Owner will control your character for that time that you are away. It will be your duty, however, to read back into the threads to find out what has transpired in your absence so that we don't have to waste time in recapping. This also goes for new members coming into the storyline. They will have to at least read back enough to find out the story and what's going on.
7. Tools of the Trade: When a character chooses to speak out of character, they must post OOC: as to not be confused with something that is being said or done by a character. This also must be posted at the bottom or top of a message - not in mid message.
EX:
Tommy walks in “Hi guys"
OOC: I was planning on having him go to the juice bar.
8. Correspondence: All members playing Villains are required to have personal email correspondence to the moderators or owners they will need to know the villain's every move seeing as though the heroes will be reacting only to a move made by the Villains. If there are subplots between Heroes or allies, this must be brought to the moods or owner's attention as well. This may not directly have an effect on a Villain's choice of action.
9. Control: Anyone has the power to control another person's character as long as the character is in direct action to what they are doing. But only for certain specific actions. This is more so for the Mods and Owners. Your character will be moved for you if you do not in order to keep the story going. But, this right is not to be abused and the person moved shall be notified.
10. Leaving: If at any time a member decides to leave the RP, please notify the mods or owner so that the character can either be written off, or NPC's until someone can take over the position. All positions available will be listed at all times on the Characters and Rank Thread page.
RULES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE...
The rules may be altered, if so, we will post and you will have to abide by the revised rules or added rules. No rules shall be changed without the knowledge of the other members.
