Memories
Heat coursing through your veins,
Burning, hate flares into your mind.
Your fists want release but you deny
You feel about to burst, you want reprieve.
The wetness now streaming down your cheeks
You try to stop but let in to its comfort,
Stress releasing itself in a different form
You close your eyes, your breath escapes.
Everything else in the world disappears
As calm returns to your mind, you take in a breathe
A whiff of your new life with it.
