Getting Started: Creating a Character

Ok, now we've got the rules out of the way, it's time to get into the fun stuff. Your RP Character!

Custom characters are pretty fun, you can do more or less what you want with them, and they are entirely of your creation. These are the things you need to make for your character. You can post your profile in the Profile Forum, you need to make your own thread so you can manage your characters easily without having to navigate through other people's posts.

Pick your character's name! This is pretty simple, just decide what you want them to be called.


This is different to your character's name, it's where you put any nicknames or aliases that your character has, for example for Kakashi we'd put-

Character Name: Hatake Kakashi
Known As: Copy Ninja Kakashi, Son of Konoha's White Fang


Decide how old your character will be.


This is the element you are naturally skilled in. Genin and Chuunin can only have one, but jounin and higher can have two. For more information check out More Info!


This is just for fun, you can describe the type of ninja your character is.

For Example: If you were RPing as Chiyo you would put

Fighting Styles: Puppet Ninjutsu, Medical Ninjutsu

And for Sasuke:

Fighting Styles: Kekkai Genkai (Sharingan) Jutsu, Raiton Ninjutsu

You get the idea.


Most people will start off at genin rank, but every village needs at least 1 Kage and several Jounin.

Section A: More Jutsu
In order to make your character as strong as possible, you'll need more Jutsu!

There are a number of ways for genin to gain new techniques:

1) Learning Techniques from your Jounin Sensei
Your Jounin will take you on missions and teach you jutsu to prepare you for the Chuunin exams. Work hard!

2)Developing your own custom justu
Genin may have up to 3 custom techniques
Chuunin may have up to 5 custom techniques
Jounin, ANBU, and Special Jounin may have up to 10 custom techniques
Kages and Sennin may have up to 20 custom techniques

3)Visiting the Main Shinobi Dojo of your village
You can learn signature jutsu of your village at it's designated Shinobi Dojo

4)Winning Jutsu as rewards for successfully completing exams/missions.
All exams and some missions have special rewards for successful completion!

5)Training in specialist Clan Dojos
If you belong to a non-custom clan (Eg Uchiha), you may have a specialist clan dojo in your village. Check it out to find jutsu that only your clan members can use.

Jounin can start off with 20 Jutsu.

Sannin can start off with 30.

Both jounin and Sannin can learn more techniques by visiting dojos in their village, or visiting the Dojo of the Elite.

Section B: Promotion
The Ranking System in Dawn of a New Age is as follows:
Genin->Chuunin->Special Jounin->Jounin->ANBU Members->Sannin/Kages

You can start off as genin by default, or you can PM me to start off as jounin or sannin.
Genin can be promoted to chuunin by passing the Chuunin exams.
Chuunin can be promoted to Special Jounin by working hard and impressing their Kage.
Chuunin/Special Jounin can be promoted to jounin by passing the Jounin exams.
Jounin can sign up for ANBU, no exams.
Promotion to Sannin is only available to the very strongest of jounin.

Section C: Weapons
For most ninja, weapons are meant to be supplementary, used to add to your fighting style, or allow you to continue fighting when low on chakra. Everyone can have an unlimited supply of basic ninja equipment such as kunai, shuriken plus one custom blade.

Your custom blade can be whatever type of weapon you want (EG Katana, Crossbow, whatever) and it may have 1 special ability, eg producing a special type of poison. Dont make the ability too overpowered or a mod will ask you to change it.

Puppet users can visit The Workshop to create their own Puppets.

Section D: Power Enhancements Power Enhancers have a great effect on your fighting ability, and can mean the difference between victory and defeat, depending on how you use them. This is in 3 parts:

Summonings
To summon the creature of your choice, you first need to know the Kuchiyose no Jutsu technique. This can be learnt at any Main Shinobi Dojo. Once you are ready you can then aquire the summoning of your choice by visiting the Temple of the Summoned Beasts.

Be careful though, remember that not everyone has a large chakra supply, if a normal genin tried to summon Gamabunta they would either fail or die.
Maybe even both.

Cursed Seals
Instead of waiting for someone to play Orochimaru, I'm going to alllow a few people to start off with a cursed seal, then if we get an Orochimaru later he (or she) can give out more.

RP Information: More Characters!

You can have up to two characters for now, it may be increased to 3 later. It does not matter if one or both of the characters is from the anime, as long as you are fairly active. To make your second character, just go through the same profile format as the first one.

Some things you should consider before making a second character:

- You cannot have them teach each other jutsu, fight, etc. It is highly recommended that you don't put them in the same village

- You cannot have a demon if one of your characters is in Akatsuki because obviously it would not end well.

RP Information: The Official Guild Storyline

4 years after Sasuke left Hidden Leaf Village, the Akatsuki member Pein launched an attack on Konoha, and captured Naruto. The kyuubi was sealed into the king of hell, and Akatsuki began their campaign of world conquest, attacking and taking over the smaller Shinobi Villages, and later destroying Cloud and Rock. As they prepared to attack Mist however, they were discovered that Leaf, Sand and Mist had prepared a last stand, a massive army of the most skilled ninja from the three villages, plus the survivors from Cloud and Rock. A large war began, a war that Akatsuki would have won, but the villages were saved by none other than Sasuke Uchiha, who destroyed the King of Hell Statue with his Chidori Sword, releasing the bijuu. Ebizou of Hidden Sand, who had been fatally injured in the war, used his remaining life force to bring Naruto back to life, but the damage was done, Tsunade and Gaara had both been injured in the war, and both Cloud and Rock village were ruined.

Now, just 1 year after the original bijuu war, Akatsuki are assembling again. They are tracking the new jinchuurik, and it is only a matter of time before they are located. The question is, are you going to help the save the world... or destroy it?
