10/05/07 - Character stuff, Ship stuff. Stuff.

Basic Plot
Set in the future several years past voyager and next gen time. Out of this era, many other alien races who were once distant grew closer. Eventually, the federation ran into a rapid growth in members as the Klingons, Romulans, and other former enemies began to join. Other races that humans had yet to encounter came out during this surge and got into the new federation when they could. The new wave of allies caused Starfleet to re-organize itself to this expansion. With the new Starfleet comes the need for a new era of ships and a new flagship. Starfleet began a project to make a new class of ship. Resources, knowledge, and ideas were filtered into the project from all the new federation members. Two sister ships were created from the project and sent forth on their mission. This is the tale of U.S.S. Osiris, one of the two ships created from the project.

RP Flow
I'll think of this when my brain works. I will make this rp function in a way that will allow anyone to rp whenever they can since I know not everyone is a loser like myself and online at all hours of the day. It won't have a typical linear feel... if I feel like being that creative.

Ship
The U.S.S. Osiris its a ship comprised of many new ideas in ship design, technology advancement as well as the unification of multiple empires and kingdoms of aliens joining the new Federation and contributing to Starfleets efforts. It is considered to be the most powerful class ship ever created by the Federation, the only rival being its sister ship.

The ships reactor is comprised of a new attempt at harnessing the limits of energy. A mysterious and rare crystal has been proven to react to warp core reactions in an interesting way. Bonding with the core and its processes, the crystals actually feed off of the host core in a unique way. It not only helps to stabilize the warp core but it allows the core to produce a larger amount of energy without any harmful effects. The only draw back to the crystals is the short supply. It took a lot of effort and resources to find enough samples that could maintain this balance. With this and the best minds of the federation coming together to produce the next step in warp core technology that not only produces a vast amount of energy to help the ship advance in multiple ways but reduces resonance traces produces by warp cores greatly.

The ship has holographic emits in nearly every room of the ship. This allows the ship to produce holographic displays at a constant rate. The advanced systems and power supply allow whole rooms to be made of holographic materials which can be arranged and changed (though most prefer real materials to holograms) The most useful part of this system however a new system, R.A. (Realistic Artificial intelligence) which is an advanced holographic computer program. RA can materialize in a variety of forms based on user preference, based on their preference they will see the hologram in a way others cannot. So, while one crew member will see RA as its normal form, another may see them as a nonthreatening member of the same alien race. RA has a normal form, which is designed to be unlike any other race in the federation. More on RA in time.
