Well when I was a sophomore in high school a friend of mine in band ( yes I was a band nerd) was really into them, he had like all of the books and since he went on and on about how great it was he pushed the first book on me and I fell in love, I read about 4 of the books he had then I started buying my own so I could have a collection of sorts. I've only read one other book just for reading pleasure not for school since then.

That sounds loving heart lol, my parents dont read fantasy.. my mom reads romance(almost porn in witting form, lol) and my dad only reads newspapers and a magazine called " High times"

haha, high times is bad for your health. I was forced to read WFR about a year ago by the guy who is now my boss and guitarist

lol come on, a soner magazine, written by stoners about soner issues that affect their herb? don't get me wrong, i used to be one, that's how i know it's a bad idea lol

A friend in my junior year of high school was telling me that if i like books of war and the age of swords and magic then i should check out "The Wizards First Rule" he was deep into reading them and was waiting for Chainfire to come out at the time. Now I am on Naked Empire and easily read about 4 of the books before my senior year when i transfered to the rival high school and didnt have any way to talk to any other readers of the book.

I was volunteering at my local library and Debbie, the librarian had just put the barcode and clear cover and everything on it. She handed it to me and told me to put it away.
i looked at the cover, read the summery then handed it back to her. "Myne"
Yes, I really did tell her "Myne".
And she checked it out to me.

Honestly, I was bored silly and went to the book store just down from my house and grabed WFR of the shelf thinking the cover looked cool. I read it and had to have the rest.

My friend in Anatomy class last year was obsessed with the series, so after talking about it for a day or two, he brought WFR to class and let me borrow it for the day. After about 30 minutes, I was already into the story, so he let me borrow it. I am proud to say that it was incredibly awesome.

I'm a major bookworm and I was scouring the shelves of my high school school library for a decent sized book that looked interesting. WFR grabbed my attention. They only had the first four books, but I found them at the local library... I'm now buying them so that I can read them whenever I want instead of waiting for other fans who go to the local library to return the books.

After I finished the last book out of the Wheel of Time Series I needed something to read and the clerk at Barnes and Nobles recommended SoT. Haven't looked back since
