I'm working on a series using my old RP characters. I like the characters themselves, though I want to create entirely new histories for them. But, I need a title. The series is centered around three witches, Tara and Christine Kavanagh and Marissa Sanderson. It takes place in modern times, although some reference of a fictionalized version of the past will pop up. But, I think a lot of titles for these kinds of stories are overused. I was going to go with "Power of Three" but that's a Charmed line. Then, "Circle of Three" but that kind of thing is probably way overdone. Any other suggestions?

I always use obvious titles supported by the title of the series. (ie: The Jump, The Dream, The Battle, exactly what the book is about... in a way...)

Good ideas for titles: 1. Something deep. If you want poetic readers, that's the best way to pull them in.
2. A quote from the book. I love doing this for short stories. ^_^

... okay, I'm out of ideas...

But if you still have trouble, grab your favorite song lyrics, and write down exactly 100 different titles you can find. Then use process of elimination. Easy as cake.

Have fun! ^_^

Sometimes easy, sometimes difficult... Often as i'm writing the name will come to me, and, without reading your work i think it would be difficult to come up with something fitting.

Yeah, titles are hard. Think about the theme of your book and the main summery, and base it off of that

I often create the title from part of a meaningful quote from the story. It's a method I often find used in books and one that can be particularly effective. For example, in Eclipse, by Stephenie Meyer, there is a VERY meaningful sentence in which the character Jacob tells Bella that, essentially, they could have had a great future together before the vampire Edward fell in love with Bella, and that Jacob could have been her sun, her sky, but Edward is an eclipse, and what is the sun to compete with an eclipse? Therefore, the title was based off this vital line, and the book now stands as Eclipse. Try finding several sentences that carry a lot of meaning in your story and take several possible titles from them. Narrow the list down until you are satisfied with the chosen title.
