At the urging of Figgsie, I've put up this sticky. So:
You know you've read to much Jane Austen when...
...you put up a postcard of the original picture Cassandra painted of Jane in your locker.
...you think about dressing up as her on Celebrity Day at your school.
...you demand to visit her house when visiting Britain.

~No one in your family knew who Jane Austen was until you gave them a 2 hour lecture. (Using books, pictures and anything you could get your hands on)

...you want to find your 'Mr. Darcy' whilst looking for a boyfriend/husband/significant other.
...you tote your Jane Austen House Museum bag everywhere (and become extremely upset when your father gets grass stains on it!!!)
...you can recite each of her major novels titles...and a brief synopsis...even if you HAVEN'T read them!!
...your friends receive second-hand copies of Pride and Prejudice for Christmas.
...you CREATE A GUILD IN HONOR OF JANE AUSTEN!

...you have read every single one of her novels and are now plowing your way through the rest of her writings....
...you have seen at least one adaptation of every novel.....
...you donate the majority of your funds to setting up the guild (but it was so worth it)....

You've already decided (and told others - even though they don't understand) that you're naming your future english bulldog Mr. Darcy.

PiroFanMongoose rofl I love these... Here's another one (that's soo true):
...you make your goal in life to get your father, the guy you like and one of your best guy friend's to watch and/or read Pride and Prejudice. Just the other day me and my guy friend went tio the library together, and he ws recommending me all these sci-fi books. SO I dragged him over to where Austen books are and was like, you have to read Northanger Abbey, unluckily it wasn't there that day, but I WILL make him read it. He has already read Emma, and he also read a little Meg Cabot on my urging, though that resulted in our arguing over whether falling in love with a ghost is necrophilia or not.

Dewdew...for the argument: if it's a ghost, you can't exactly...well, you know! So it doesn't count as necrophilia.
Back to the game! ...you freak out when Pride and Prejudice is one of the books Fry and Leela of Futurama enter!!!

You get a look of horror on your face at discovering that your friends haven't read one of her books. You yell at fellow English majors who have only seen her movies. (I mean, COME ON.) You see an actor in another film and try to imagine him as Mr. Darcy, Col. Brandon, Mr. Knightly, etc. You read the Jane Austen Book Club, the Jane Austen Guide to Dating, sequels Presumption and Darcy's Story, and freak out when you find out that Becoming Jane is in theaters.
