I saw this movie last weekend with my dad and we both really enjoyed it!

Well, I probably enjoyed it for other reasons (um, Hrithik?), but it still counts!

Anyway, I was blown away by Sanjay Dutt. When I saw him in Parineeta, I was like "NOOOOOOOOOO!" when he came on screen (because I'm mean like that)... this was the first movie I really saw him starring in (I don't count Eklavya because I was in and out for that movie and I'm in the middle of watching Khalnayak and I haven't gotten past the 40 minutes that I forgot what happened in them), and I was complettttttttely shocked by Sanjay. A very well done performance.

I kind of wish Preity was in it more, but it's one of the few Bollywood movies that focuses more on the social issue at hand instead of on the romance. (That's a big reason why my dad liked it so much; like, with Fanaa, it focused on their romance [even though it was completely amazing]... he's not big into the whole romance part of the movies. wink )

Not to say that Hrithik wasn't amazing, too. I was dying for him to come onto the screen, LOL. He's so natural and stuff... I thought I was going to die as well when he fell off the dock (what would you call it?) at the end and "died." Thanks for making me feel miserable with Hrithik dying.

I was just a little bit disappointed that there were very few songs. For some reason, I thought there were songs and I almost went ballistic when I saw there was no "scene selection" on the DVD menu. wink I liked that one bumblebee song... and the one where they are in the boat.

On a final note: Jackie Shroff (every time I say his name, I want to go JACKIEEEEEEEEEEEEE!) was AMAZING. I think I really love him. He was just incredible in Hero and Devdas... I want to see him in more roles (which is why I'm going to watch Khalnayak soon!). I almost kind of wish he didn't die because he's JACKIE SHROFF, but he did play a bad guy... ah, well.

A good movie overall and I would definitely recommend it to anyone and everyone. smile

Thats cool! My cousin wanted to watch that movie and her mom told her it wasn't that good so they ended up not watching it...the promo kind of scared me a bit...I am not a fan of fire and shooting...I didn't even like Fanaa the first tiem because of that one reason...but now I love Fanaa...I got over it! LOL!

Well maybe I will watch it now that some says it is good. Is is akward with parents? Is it okay for little five year old kids?

I watched it with my dad--it was fine. smile

The violence is very real... I wouldn't recommend five-year-olds watch this movie. Honestly, I would wait until they were thirteen so they could watch that violence (if I'm not mistaken, it's actually R because of the violence!)... but maybe that's just me.

There are no sex scenes or anything like that--no kissing, either. It's really a family film, though, even with the violence and everything. Hmm, weird how that works...

taht is weird...but if the violence is that intense...well then I may not watch it for a while...
