Lastly she wears steel tipped boots since she's in the hanger most of the time.

Personality: Determined most of the time, but she can be easy going.

Bio: Virga's past is really described best by the event that brought her into the armed forces; Explosions ring out as shots are fired from the airborne WINGs as they fought a small wave of Wyvrid that had gotten too close to an underground living facility. The wings whipped and rolled through the air dodging fire and gases, firing off rounds at any open time. The pilot inside was known as the best pilot and was the commander’s son. He had been with WINGs since the project started, and took to them like fish to water. No one thought he would ever be shot out of the sky, but what everyone thinks isn’t always right.

A loud explosion, louder than any that had been heard that day shot out from the sky as a WING was hit by a large beam from a larger unidentified Wyvrid ship. Green flames erupted from the back of the WING and slowly started eating away at the body of the craft.
"SON!" The commander shouted from the control room, knowing it was his son’s WING that had been hit. He fumbles for the transmitter and pulls it up to his mouth before franticly calling out, "Are you alright up there! You’re burning up! Eject! Get out of there now!"
"I’m sorry dad. He shouldn’t have had the opportunity to hit me." The son’s voice said as the Wing began to slowly spiral down.
"I don’t care!!! Eject boy, EJECT!" The commander shouts as WING stopped its spiral, but continued heading for the ground.
"I can’t dad… The fire has eaten away at the controls. I’m sorry." With that the transmission was cut and the line went static.

From up in the air, a second WING flew along side the commander’s son’s WING. It’s tail wasn’t marked with a known number, but the craft was painted in the same way as his. As smoke started to fill the cockpit, there was a light thump as the second WING locked wings with his and guided the plane down, detaching as the automatic landing gear went down and set the plane to land safely.

A group of WING pilots and their commander ran out onto the landing strip as a smoking wing was escorted down by the one that had just saved its life. They run over to the WING with special hammers used for fire emergencies and break open the cockpit, pulling the commander’s son from the craft. He was unconscious from smoke inhalation and quickly was rushed to the IC unit in the base.
"He’ll recover sir. We’re taking care of him as we speak." A representative form the medical wing said, then saluted to the captain before he jumped onto a jeep that took him back with the others down to the IC unit.

The commander heaved a heavy sigh, concerned for his son. He turns to the other WING, gathering his composure as he strode towards it, keen on thanking the pilot for saving his son’s life.
"Pilot!" He yells up as the cockpit opens. "Your name?"

The pilot from within the unmarked WING jumps down from the craft still wearing a helmet. When the helmet is plucked from the pilot’s head, the captain’s eyes go wide in shock and disbelief. "Virga!?"

Hearing a woman’s name come from the commander’s mouth, a group of pilots who were working on their WINGs strode over to have a look. A girl wasn’t allowed down by the WINGs, why would he say such a thing?

Virga salutes the commander before placing her helmet under her arm. "Sir. I’m sorry you had to see me up there, but I couldn’t let him die like that." Virga and the commander’s son Mike had been friends as children down in the military base. Vriga's father was a close friend of the commander and a pilot as well. However, during a battle two years ago he was shot down and killed by the Wyvrid forces. Virga had been secretly trained by her father on how to fly just as well as he could and on how to fight like none of the rest. She took after her father well and got her hands on an unmarked wing that would have otherwise been used for training. "I know I’m a female…" Virga says pausing at the word ‘female’ as the rest of the men around her looked on. "…But I couldn’t let a friend go down like that and I wasn’t going to stay on the ground for the rest of my life when you knew I could fly like my father."
The commander sighs heavily once more, wanting to thank Virga over and over for saving his son, but not knowing what to do about her being a pilot, owning an WING and flying for who knows how long along side them without he or anyone else knowing.
"Virga..." He starts placing his hands beside his back. "Come with me, please." He said as he turned and walked through the crowd that parted for the two, watching as they disappeared down the lift.

A day later, she was inducted as the first and only female WING pilot because of her actions and father’s legacy. Virga was accepted by some, other pilots thought she was a weakling who would just hold them back for being a girl. She didn’t let it bother her, right now, all she wanted was to get the Wyvrids off her planet and to avenge her father

WINGs are specially designed combat planes with wings that bend at a special joint in the middle of the wing. A new aerial system was created with these planes allowing them to cut through the air with maneuvers that were never dreamed of before. Their speed was unmatched by anything on earth. These craft were able to reach speeds that man thought impossible for plane and body to withstand. They were the ultimate fighting planes and nothing from Earth was, or ever would be better.

WING stands for Wyvrid Invasion Neutralization and the G for the last name of the man who created it, Scott Gravston, Virga's Father.
