Author's Notes: Fai-centric free-verse angst. I tried to keep a rythm and a somewhat rhyme-scheme going. It started off as song-lyrics for a short story, but I found that it fit Fai better as poetry, so it got modified. Basically angsting over life, and the fact that he's fallen in love with Kuro-pan.


(I’m breathing)
(I’m bleeding)
(I’m beaten)
(I’m screaming)

My heart beats so slowly
My breath comes so softly
I thought that I may be dying
Only to wake up alive
This morning; again

This isn’t my first time
For trying

(So slowly does a flower bloom?
So quickly does it die?
So empty does a heart feel,
Before it finds the lie?)

A simple reassurance
A few words of love
Is all I want; is all I need
I care and cry only to find
I’m all alone; again

This isn’t my first time
For trying

(Why should I believe in magic?
