It a time of demons and swords, an age of monks and priestesses, a period of humble living and simpler things, an era known as the Feudal Age. This world is plagued with wars against demons and humans, but it is also blessed with beautiful landscapes and mysterious wonders. Villages and farm lands fill the country sides. Demon guilds and tribes overrun caves, mountains and swamps. It is here that our story begins. ---------------------------------------------------------- Feudal Gaia Its dusk and the sun is setting in the west, revealing a tapestry of colors, sounds, and emotions. Strange occurrences have been happening in the mountain regions over the course of the past few weeks. The demons are stirring more than usual and some of the nearby villages have been attacked and demolished. In addition, strange shadow creatures have also been attacking these villages, yet no bodies remain afterwards. Local governments have formed militia squads to fight them back, but they're only able to do so much to protect the people. No one knows the source of the demon's agitation. Maybe you can help them? Or would you rather profit from their plight?

*A FLASH of light and a wwWwwhhhiiirrlll of smoke and space suddenly appear a few miles outside of Barton village. Out steps a mysterious man dressed in gray, wearing a tapestry coat of white and black*
*FLLOoop... the man's strange hat comes into view, as the smoke and dust settle and the space/time hole closes. Its floppy white ears and kawaii smile imprinted on it would catch any witness off guard, after seeing such a ominous entrance*
(Brien) *tipping the hat back, he looks at the setting sun and greets it with a casual smile* *he speaks with a gentle voice* "Well, that trip wasn't half as bad as they told me it would be. Space/time travel is pretty relaxing all and all."
(Yachiru) *slowly a cute little ghost girl, dressed in a mage's gown much too big for her, comes into view over Brien's shoulder. She rests her elbows on his shoulder as she floats there and gives a pouty face as she looks around* "This place looks boring.... do we have to stay here?"
(Brien) *chuckles, looking over at his traveling companion* "Unfortunately yes, we must. They're all depending on us back at home. And who knows, maybe we'll find something exciting to do."
(Yachiru) *shrugs, as she takes a small sigh* "I suppose..."
(Brien) *looking forward, he notices a town about a mile away* *nods* "First things first, we should probably get some new clothes so we blend in a little."
(Yachiru) "I wouldn't know. I've worn the same clothes for almost 500 years."
(Brien) *smiles* "Yes, well, your a ghost smile " *a brief pause, as he takes off his mokona hat and puts it into his brown side bag* "Lets be going then." *starts to walk toward the town*
(Yachiru) *floats close behind* "Right behind ya ;D"

Above the two (Brien and Yachiru), another flash of light appeared. Someone yelled.
"Gwaaaaaaaaahhh!!!" and then a teenage boy landed on his rear near them. Orange fox ears poked out from beneath his floppy white hat, identical to the others, and a matching tail was visible coming from his lower back. He rubbed his head.
"Need to work on the landing...." he muttered. He stood up.
He was wearing black buckled pants and a white t-shirt with the words "Kids in The Way" and a Gothic Cross on the front. There were a grouping of dates and places on the back. He looked around, recognizing the era he was in. Taro was a big history buff.
"Feudal, huh? hmm." he noticed the hat on the man near him.
"Oh hey, I see you're Traveling too, huh?" he said lively, his tail twitching.

Selena looked at her sister, "I swear Reylan if you don't stop getting into fights I'm going to disown you." Instead of checking her sister for injuries. She was using the last of her supplies on three boys that had sever bite and claw marks on them.
"Someone else is near" Reylan said a a bit tonelessly, looking towards the direction they were in. "Two men and a girl. They seem friendly enough." She turned back to Selena and smiled, fangs showing clearly "it's not my fault they suprized me."

A Swirl of light, like the oppisite of a black whole appeared. "Where am I now?" aksed Kaki, "this is nothing like my world. Who are you?!" He asked the company in front of him while putting away his sword and bowing. "I am sry. I am Kaki and I believe that I am lost. May I have your names?"

(Brien) *smiles, noticing Kaki and Tamo. He hasn't noticed Selena and Reylan yet, since they're a good distance away* "Well now, we seem to have visiters."
*listens to Kaki's introduction* "Certainly. My name is Brien Anwrydren. I'm a local professor at Gaia U in Barton. My friend here is Yachiro."
(Yachiro) *not paying attention, because she is totally mesmerized by Tamo's ears* "Oo...." *hovers over to Tamo, staring at his ears* "K.... K.... K..." *suddenly a huge smile, followed by a giggle/laugh flies across her face* "KAWAII!!!" *grabs onto his ears, feeling the furry texture* "He's like a fox doll!! SOOOOOO cute!" *pulls them a little, laughing and enjoying herself*
(Brien) "Uh... Yachiro. Thats not nice sweatdrop "
(Yachiro) "But he's soooooooo cute!!"
(Brien) "Sorry about that sir." *looks over at Kaki* "Unfortunately, I seem to be lost too. But I believe our friend over there may have an idea."
(Yachiro) *continues to laugh and play with Tamo's ears*
(Brien) "If Yachiro ever lets him go sweatdrop "

*A mysterious figure clothed in black and shadow sits on a mountain top stoop a few yards away from everyone. He stares at both groups and a smile slowly curls across his face* *he speaks with a hallow echoed voice* "They're here...."
*He's high enough, and camouflaged in the shadows of the mountains and caves, that he can't be seen.*
*As he sat and observed them, a demon snake slithers by him. It slowly rears its head and prepares to strike at his leg. But, does he care? He effortlessly grabs the snake by its neck, without even looking at it or breaking his attention. In the same motion, he SQUEeeeezes the snake, poping its head from the preassure.*
(Angnair) *laughs to himself, as he continues to observe them* "Fuuuuuun...."

"Well then let's go meet them" she said putting the bandages away and letting Reylan lead the way. "Since you said they was friendly I don't suppose I need this" she put her ax away in her belt. "HEY! are you even listening to me!."
Ingoring her sister she walked over to Brien and the others. Excited at meeting these new people she started to run towards them. Getting there first, all she did was stand there silently, smiling. Her silent nature had come back now that they were around a large group of people.

"Hey! Quit it!!" Taro yelled. He an back and forth. The little girl was tugging on his ears pretty hard. "C'mon, I'm not a play thing!!!!" he grabbed her and put her down, rubbing his ears. "Taro Akimichi, son of Takeo and Chiya, of Gaia Spirit World." he said.

(Yachiro) "Sooooorree...." *can't help but look at his ears* "Just... " *her little hands reach out for them* "soo.... cute!.....MPH" *forces her hands back to her sides and lowers her gaze, trying hard to contain herself*
(Brien) *smiles, watching Yachiro's cute behavior, then listens to Tamo's response* "The Spirit World eh? Fascinating. Its a pleasure to meet you Taro." *thinks to himself* ~If thats true, I wonder if he realizes it already.... Hmm..~
(Yachiro) *hovers back over to Brien and sits on his shoulder* "The spirit world is borring... the living world is sooo much better 3nodding
(Brien) *suddenly notices Reylan. She was so quiet that she just blended in so well.* "Well hello there smile Visiters just keep coming in troves, don't they?"
(Yachiro) "She's preeetty." *giggles*
(Brien) *notices Selena coming toward them* "Ah, someone else is coming I see. My my, they're just running up to meet me."

(Brien) "Pleasure to meet you Selena. I am Brien, and this is Tamo, Kaki, and the little one on my shoulder is Yachiro."
(Yachiro) "Helloooo biggrin "
(Brien) *looks to the group of newcommers* "Are you all from different parts of Gaia? And, if I may ask, are you here to save our world as well?"

Being raised in the decorum of Spirit World, he acted as royalty. Taro bent down and kissed Selena's hand. It meant nothing more than what it was, politeness. "Taro Akimichi." he said, smiling. He glanced back at Brien.
"The dead love your music, Brien." he said under his breath, so only Brien could hear. His tail twitched lightly.
The sound of clapping shuddered around them as a figure stepped from behind an alley. "Well, well, well, all the adventurers together at last. Took you long enough." The man appeared to be 26 years old, though he spoke like an 80 year old. He walked over to them, giving a curt bow. "Randall Flagg, at your service." He looked at them.
"What a surprise, look who it is. Young miss Selena." He smirked arrogantly.

Reylan growled and glared at him, even if Randall was a good guy she still hated him. She couldn't understand why Selena liked him so much.
"Hello Randall" Selena said smiling at him. "Reylan stop it" she tapped her sister on the head "It's nice to meet all of you."

Jude stumbles clumsily out of a building. "Okay! Okay! I'm going! Geez!" She recovers and looks up at the group, then approaches them. "This is a rather motley crowd. Are you guys here to figure out what's up with the demons?"
Angel is also shoved out of the same building and nearly bumps into Jude. He recovers as well and sees the group, whereupon he grabs Jude's arm and yells, "Oh my gosh, Jude!! They look so cool! I BET they're here to help us!"
