So I just read an interesting little fact! I was going through all the people's artwork who I watch on DA and one chic posted info on something in the game in regards to Zack and his good SOLDIER friend. Here is what she said:
Kanseru is also, seriously (canon!), in love with Zack 8D Or at least half-hearted canon : P Just as Zack is about to leave for the Nibelhiem mission, he runs into Kanseru again who turns out to be on his way to his new post at Fort Condor (WOO). Zack acts a little depressed at the mention of 'departures', to which kanseru replies, "What's wrong? Are you really that sad we're going our separate ways?"
TO WHICH YOU MAY REPLY:
[Reason for loneliness:]
>Since I'll be leaving Aeris
>Because I love you
I kid ye not. Should you choose that second answer Kanseru will reply, [実は俺がおまえのことが。。。。] which is literally: "Actually, I... (concerning you)" - before quickly reprimanding Zack over who he really likes XD
So although it has nothing to do with ZxC per-say, it opens up the possibility of Canon!Zack batting for both teams xD But I guess it also depends on the way the ' I love you' was said, seeing as how Japanese changes the intensity of I love you around.

Kefka-Daisuki-Desu! Yet another person Cloud must battle for Zack's love. True, true. You do get a message from Cloud while in Nibelhiem, asking if you want to go meet his mother with him. Apperantly his mom is the best cook and makes really great stew! xD Just thought it was cute. Cloud want's his mama to meet his boy-toy

It explains so much, man. Like in FFVII the flashback scene Cloud's mom says he needs an older girl to take care of him and Cloud says "Not interested." ;] Sorry Aerith, looks like Cloud has something different in mind. heart

Cloud also seems pretty smitten with Zack. I posted this in the forums in the FFVII guild but I thought i would post it here too:
In Crisis Core you get emails from people on your cell phone as you travel around ( except from Aerith because she doesn't have a phone). Anyways, you get one message from Cloud saying something like he still remembers when Zack patted him on the shoulder and told him to hang in there, and that's the sole reason Cloud is still trying to become a soldier.
I just thought that was SO adorable, and really touching. Especially seeing as how getting into SOLDIER was really importaint, and that Zack kept Cloud in there and gave him so much hope and drive.
Also, I read somewhere where Cloud takes Zack up to the water tower at some point. But don't quote me on that just yet ~_^

Sometimes I am actually a little happy we know how it ends. Because boy, if I didn't know Zack kicked the bucket I think it would be 100 times worse playing the game. It's like ' Oooh I defeted a boss, I am so awesome, I have such a high level, I DIE?! WHAT?!'

Yaoi overload *O* I actually have a friend who happened to get a nosebleed while reading a hard core Yaoi manga! xD She was just sitting there, reading when suddenly she got this HUGE nosebleed. She was laughing so hard and her mom came rushing into the room freaking out asking what was going on, and my friend was frantically trying to hide the Yaoi while bleeding all over the place!
