We all know Q would win in a real fight. But!
Out of curiosity, how do you think Kirk would have handled Q, and vice versa? I know Trelane is fairly similar, but I think Q is a bit more mature and perhaps even more devious.
I like to think Q would get the better of Kirk. Picard is just calm enough that Q considers him like a puzzle, since he can't push all of Picard's buttons as easily as he'd probably like. It seems like Q would find Kirk pretty predictable.
But that's just my quick thought on the subject. What do you guys think?

Honestly, I dunno what to say! Kirk actually to me seems far less rigid than Picard. (As far as sticking to the rules, go.) Then again, I may just be remembering a different character, but I remember Kirk as the type who'd basically do anmything for a little adventure. I think Q'd have his hands full with Kirk. 3nodding

That's a good point, Kirk does like his adventure. I'm wondering if he wouldn't be able to outwit Q. I think he'd get pretty miffed if he couldn't outsmart Q. He seemed to have his hands full with Trelane, now that I think about it.

Well, even I find Kirk predictable sometimes. So despite his love for adventure, I'm going to say Q would whoop him.
