Rp for meself<3 With Naina and Marahute
The tresses of the blue hued mare had fallen gracefully around her neck. She had aged well, time was being kind to her, as was fortune, with love and peace.
But she wasnt happy, and the blue mare knew it had nothing to do with what was going well with life, but with what was going sourly.
It had been ages since she had seen the substitute mother she had been raised by. The golden mare with a heart of.. well.. gold.
But the thought of Mara brought forth a taste of bitterness upon Naina's tongue. Mara had betrayed her. As had her father. The only one she really cared about was Amaroq, and how long until he didnt care anymore?
Marahute had raised her, then left.. without even a goodbye. Yeahyeahyeah.. she had heard Esperanza was sick.. but sometimes, Soquili get sick.. Doesnt mean you abandon your responsibility! A child no less! And yeah, okay.. So Naina had been grown when Mara had taken her oh so quiet leave.
That did NOT make it okay. So now, Naina was backtracking through her past.
Keeping her head high, she glanced about for the mare that she'd once considered her mother.
For mother is god in the eyes of a child.
This place was too close to teepees for Nainas liking. She hated the humans, and Marahute lived with them! Her, her mother, and the other one.. Micah? All resided with the two leggers as equals. That was funny.. Equals? Sure. Let em think they were equal.
She snorted, trotting quietly.
She would find this mare.

The Golden Mare slept peacefully outside the small teepee of the sleeping girl. Anusha slumbered away, while Marahute did the same. Her dreams were of the filly she had raised.. of the father and mother she loved.. and the stallion whom she had grown so close to.
She had a smile, pasted on her face, giving her the look of a golden angel.. if horses believed in angels that is.
Taking a deep sighing breath, Mara slept on..
Until the sound of someone approaching stirred her. At first she thought her mother.. but she knew her mother was with her father in the herd right now on some well needed time.
So Mara pinned her ears back as she stood, ready to defend the little girl if the need arose. Giving a shake of her mane, she made it fall out of her eyes, as not to give her any reason for not seeing what was approaching.
Chocolate orbs stared at the darkness.. but the only movement was a sillouhette, which was coming closer slowly.
She nervously shuffled her feet, but quickly straightened up.
"Who goes there?"
She called, stomping a hoof in the dirt for emphasis.
She almost reminded her of the troll and the three goats story. She had been awaken from slumber only to find who was crossing her bridge.. though no bridge was in the area.
"I demand you show yourself." She called again.

Naina was coming closer to the golden mare, and she knew it. She could see her, even though her own visage was ghostly to the golden mare.
Marahute was standing there keeping watch over the disgusting little girl in the teepee. Like she'd really do damage to someone so weak like a little girl. HA.
Mara should know better. But she kept her gait light, and airy, and knew she was almost ethereal.. Her body glided closer, leaving the shadows, exposing herself to the mare named Marahute.
Named after an eagle. Ha again. Like a hawk was something to name a child after? Hardly. She hadnt ever realized her name's meaning, and she assumed it was for the best.. Cause if father had named her after a skunk, she'd be insulted.
"Marahute.."
Was her cold greeting. She hardly knew who this mare inside her was. Because it was angry and cold, and Naina was hardly ever angry.
She didnt even care to glance behind her.. Her father had followed, and she had known the whole time.. but he wouldnt intervene yet. Hed see what this was all about.
He was pretty good at following her when he shouldnt, and she had let him know to stop. But this charade was pointless!
Stopping withing nosing reach of Marahute, she gave a grin.
"Hello mother dearest."

Jean Claude watched his daughter with anticipation. She was beginning to be like him.. Beginning to carry the past of which he carried.
She was more like he then he had originally thought. So her appearance was Nostalgia, her anger.. her essence, was him.
He kept to the shadows, unsure of whether Naina knew he was watching or not. He didnt care much. He just was watching the scene play out. He wouldnt let Naina go too far of course.. Not with Marahute, whom had raised her so nicely.
He watched, a slight smile on his features at his daughters vengeful self emerged finally from her sad demeanor.

Marahute couldnt believe her eyes, nor her ears.
Her eyes said this was little Naina.. But the voice said it was someone completely different.. Someone Marahute didnt know, and frankly, would never want to know.
"Naina Julianna Belle Morte."
She had never used her full name before, but the presence of this mare was no longer a happy one. It was an awakening for Mara. Naina was angry, and she was cold, and her heart was vengeful now.
Her own eyes grew suspicious and seemingly angry.
"I daresay you look the worse for wear. How are you?"
She asked, trying to keep her upbringing alive. She wanted to glare and bite at the mare before her.. but mother would never have any of that.
She wouldnt lash out unless she had to. BUt this was a struggle.. More of a struggle then she had ever assumed to be in, especially with one who was her daughter in all aspects!
Her pelt was beaded with drops of sweat that were forming out of anxiety with Naina. The tension between the two femmes was ridiculous, it could be cut with a knife.
That wasnt how Mara liked things.

Her face was snide as she spoke the words of venom from her throat. The words themselves were like clouds of hope, but the voice of which they were uttered, were venomous and evil.
Her heart ached at this mare. The funny part, was that Naina didnt even dislike her real mother who had in all aspects abandoned her, as much as s he disliked Marahute now for abandoning her.
"Oh, I s'pose I do look horrible. But come now Marahute. Surely you see some good in me. Surely you see that I fair brilliantly, and I thrive even without your 'charming' heart to watch me."
The word charming was spat at Mara, and Naina almost enjoyed the look of control being held on Marahutes face.
Oh Marahute wanted to fight.. But fighting wasnt Naina.. or not.. yet anyway. Naina was more in the mood to abuse with her rattle of words.
"You shouldnt use someones full name unless you mean to deem them unsociable. Now.. If Im unsociable to you, best tell me now.. or forever hold your.. well I supposed forever wont last long with you now will it?"
She growled, keeping her eyes narrowed now and her teeth exposed. Had she just threatened Marahute?.. Oh.. she was sure she had now.

Jean wanted to be proud of his daughters viscious-ness.. But he was not. He was not even amused any more by the antics of his daughter.
She was being more than he had ever been. She was threatening her family with death,.. or so it sounded.
He would not let that happen. Death on either end would be terrible, and he would stop that.
He saw the look of desperation on his daughters face.. and he saw the look of complete internal struggle of Marahute.
He had never been a true fan of Marahute, but she was Esperanza's offspring, and for that, he would defend her.
He kept his tongue held, and watched the undoing of his daughter. He had a feeling, that now that she had found her voice in such a violent manner, that it would remain that way.
Could he live with that?

Nostrils flared at the fierceness in the voice of the mare she had once believed to be her daughter. But this mare, she would not acknowledge. Ever.
"You are unsociable to me. For it doesnt matter what anyone thinks of you, but yourself.. but if this is the way you see yourself to be, then I dont see why you pretend to know me as is. I refuse to accept you for the way you are right now. I refuse to acknowledge you as being my daughter once upon a time. For my daughter now must be dead inside."
She spoke the words with her own fierceness and she uttered anger out through her eyes. Keeping her head high, she flattened her ears to her skull and shook her head.
"This show of your virtue is ridiculous, and I demand that you lose it, or leave. I want nothing more to do with you, so you can take your happy a** and get out of my home."
Oh that was great. Let mother hear the words she was saying.. that sounded classy.
She was losing her control slowly. Losing her cool with herself. Her golden body was now covered in sweat as she prepared herself for an attack from the blue hued mare.
She didnt expect it to come, but that didnt mean she wasnt going to be careful and ready if it did come her way.
Be nice to Naina now? Psh, Even mother could not have stopped the utter hatred in her eyes at what Naina had become.

So she was now going to turn the tables and make Naina out to be the monster? Oh no. That wouldnt do at all.
She straightened her neck, giving Mara a once over with her sapphire amethyst eyes.
"Let me see you stripped down to the bone."
She spoke quietly. Whisper. Barely there for anyone, including herself.
This meeting was going exactly as planned and that wasnt nessecarily a good thing at all..
Because Naina hadnt expected Marahute to get this kind of anger.. ever. But no matter, her anger was refreshing.
Her anger helped keep herself angry.
The fact that Marahute was now uttering hatred out of that soft voice , it helped Naina remember why she hated the mare now. Why she had hated the mare since she had been no more than a filly. Sure, she had been grown, she had been given her 'wings' so to speak.
But her heart had been that of a filly. Her mind that of a child. And in the mind of a child, mother is god. That saying kept ringing in the mares ears and she shook her head to release it.
No. Marahute was not a god. Marahute was nothing to her. For if she was, Naina would not want to hurt her so badly. Hurt her like she had been hurt.
"Shall we settle this then?"
__________________________________________
Jean almost stopped them there. This had gone on too far. Much too long. His daughter was about to attack the mare she'd once called mother. What was up with that?
He had NEVER taught his daughter this. This was coming from the pits of hell. He had never seen Naina act this way towards anyone. Not even h imself and he mostly deserved it.. More than this poor Marahute deserved it. This attitude towards life was wrong. But if he stopped Naina now, he knew that she would delve deeper into that anger.
He would let her get her anger out, where no damage other than feelings being hurt. That way, maybe he could talk sense into the mare that had once been his daughter..
He hoped he could get her back.

Marahute drew her lips back, exposing her teeth as she reared into the air, coming down in the grass and dirt harshly. It was a reminder to Naina to watch to whom she spoke that way to.
Marahute was not beyond fighting this mare. Was not beyond tearing her up to let her know that this was not that way..
Of course, somewhere inside, it hurt knowing poor Naina had come to this. Had come to the desperation that was anger and hate.
She tossed her head back, throwing her mane, narrowing her eyes, and kicking dust.
She snapped her teeth.
"Watch who you speak to that way, Naina. You may find it gets you in more trouble than you're worth."
That was her last attempt at reasoning.
Her last attempt at getting the mare to realize how wrong she was.
Mara had explained why she had left. Naina had been ready. Naina had her father, and she had gone to Jean, asking him to watch over the little one. Esperanza had been badly sick.. and Mara needed to be there for her. She had no choice.
Naina was a selfish little one, and apparently couldnt see why life had destroyed her way of thinking.
Naina had once been good.. Mara was hoping it was irreversable.

Naina reached out with her neck, keeping her head low as to try and grab hold of the other mares neck. Reaching out with a hoof, she arched a leg at Marahute's flank.
When it connected, she heard Mara let out a cry of pain, but continued.
She bit at Mara, trying to release every unjustice she'd ever had.
Throwing her mane back along with her head, she called out with a loud growl.
This wasnt her. Not her at all.
Yet it felt so right.
The anger coursing through her blood was rich now, and she went to attack Mara again.
"STOP." Came the harsh word, uttered so angrily that it even made Naina stagger and look behind her. She had known father was there, but he was mad now, and she hadnt known that.
"Naina Juliana, I suggest you back away from Marahute right now if you know whats good for you." Jean snarled, getting between Naina and the bleeding Mara.
"I suggest you rethink your status." He looked her in the eyes. Eyes so much like Nostalgia.
"I strongly suggest."

The injured mare, dragged herself farther away from her attacker, greatful for the stallion who had rescued her.
She had found in the end, she could not hurt the filly she had raised, because though this wasnt the true fill y she had given motherdom to, she could still see Naina as she was growing up.
Naina with her happy little self as she pinged from one area to another, driving Marahute crazy.. But now Mara couldnt fight the mare in front of her.. and if Jean had not arrived, she was sure she wouldnt have survived the attack.. or faired well after it if she did survive.
Leaning herself against the teepee of which her little girl still slept, she was careful not to put too much weight upon it as not to break it.
She was bleeding profusely, her mane tangled, and her body aching.
She was sure that she had just gotten the rough end of the stick, and that sucked.
She watched Jean Claude save her golden a**, and immediately knew it wasnt for her benefit that he had stopped Naina, but for Nainas own.
Naina had almost lost herself, if she hadnt already. If there was anything that could be done, it needed to be done before things went excessively far, and both Jean and Marahute knew it. It seemed to be Naina who didnt understand.

Naina looked at her father with the same anger she had felt for Mara just moments before.
He had always told her to do great things. Always told her to fight for her rights, and to beat his past.
Well, when she had found that his past was bloody..brutal.. she had to find for herself what she was.
She wanted this life. Wanted the pain of this, because then she knew she was alive, and even if she was a monster in everyones eyes. She would be sure to be the worst kind of monster.
She had come a long way since everyone betrayed her. She had grown into herself, and hell, this is what herself was.
Her father had named her after and adversary.. Belle Morte. Oh yes she knew that much.
Had named her after an enemy so he could always remember that Naina wasnt just his daughter, but Nostalgias too.. His enemy had been vicious, with a name meaning Beautiful Death.
That seemed to be what she wanted to now be.
"Dont you dare stop me you fool." She cried.
"How DARE you turn on me for another. But ive come to expect it, seeing as how, youve always chosen others over myself.
Do you know what that has done to me?"
_________
Jean shook his head, indeed she was like he. Searching for excuses for being what he thought he was. She was more like him now than ever.
"Naina that is you and my cross to bear. Not Marahute's. Mara had to aid to her mother who could have very well died, and I told you this. I told you that very day. Her mother was important, and damn it, you had me! " He was angry now, looking into his daughters eyes and seeing his past did not please him.
"Naina damn it! Stop finding excuses for being who you are! You are loved for who you are, and what you're are doing to the ones around you, isnt you. Im ashamed of the you i see right now.. ut ive always been proud of the you I always knew."
He stomped a hoof, giving her a soft look, followed by a serious look and tone.
"Get your a** in line, and be Naina again.. Not Belle Morte."

Marahute heard the name Belle Morte, and even through her pain, her mind raced to figure out where she'd heard that name before.
Then she remembered. She remembered Jean telling her before the basket was opened, that if it was a filly.. It was Belle Morte coming to haunt him with the visage of his old mate.
He had spoken clearly, and Mara knew it in her heart that the filly would have a rough start, if indeed it was a filly.. But of course, it had been.. and Jean could feel the anger in the pit of his stomach. She shook her head.
Such memories. Of the cold night in the plains where Jean had found her, dragging a basket behind him, eyes frantic.
He couldnt care for a basket is what he said, even though Mara knew he could if he tried.. but she offered to help him, and went back with him to the mountains, leaving her mother for a while.
Her mothers little blue wolf, Flit, had found Mara.He huffed and puffed as if it had been the worst journey through time. But he had brought news of her mothers possible terminal illness..
She had to leave, and she did, but not without knowing that Jean would be okay with Naina, who had just grown to her full size..
But her mother was safe now, and healthy as a.. horse.
Her mind came back to reality. She saw the same mad look in Jeans eyes that she had just seen in Nainas, and the thought scared her back.

Naina looked at her elder, her father.. She couldnt believe the slime that was pouring from his mouth.. For thats what it all was. Slime of the highest pedigree.
She shook her head, mouth ajar and eyes somewhat narrowed. She had had enough of everyone here.. She had been sick and tired of trying to conform, and now she was being who she was meant to be.
She was better now.
She was herself now.
Casting her eyes down like a shadow, they quickly pinpointed the golden mare.
She saw her leaning gingerly against the teepee, and wished instantly to have been granted the horn to match the hooves she wore. For then, it all could have been over, and rather quickly at that.
But now. God had been misstaken.. giving her brother and sister both horns, and leaving her to reap what she had sown.
So much had happened to her, and it wasnt truly fair.
Fathers genes had made her normal, fathers genes had counteracted with mothers. If Father had been a unicorn, then she herself would have possibly had the horn of a champion, and not the hooves of a crossbreed.
She snorted, looking back at the mare with hate.
"I am not done with you Mare. I am not done by a long shot."
________________
Jean Claude grew angry and caught her eyes again.
"Oh, but you are so very done.. I am not going to let you harm her Naina, and if you think you can go through me.. By all means.. Please try."
He stood tall and proud. He knew full well she could not beat him, and her hesitance of the matter told him that she knew it as well.
Giving a flick of his ebony curls that matched his daughters, he shook his head.
"Come Naina. Come with me."
