This is the official Persuasion thread, the last novel written by Jane Austen. Oh, the wonders that can be found on the internet. You could do whether or not you'd wait all that time for Captain Wentworth...or something. I'm said to say that this is the only Austen novel I've not read/watched/know the story by heart... redface I feel ashamed even posting here!

I really did love Persuasion, I read it in one day. I don't want to give to much away, but the end.... it was so great! Originally Jane wrote a different ending, which I have also read. but it is no where as good as the ending she used. Heart-throb heart heart heart heart

Oh Persuasion was one of my all time favorite Jane novels. It was by far her most underrated work. everybody knows Pride and Prejudice but Anne and Wentworth's love is truly sigh worthy biggrin
oh and stay away he is mine wink

Heart-throb heart heart heart heart Changing the subject are we... but yes I have read Jane EYre, and The Eyre Affair ( a modern classic), The Professor and Agnes Grey (or is it Gray?) I do like the Brontes' work, very heart throb, but not witty like Austen. I think that is why Charlotte never liked Jane's work, she doesn't ave a sense of humour.
