is it just me or are all the the pictures of the sword of truth way off? From the descriptions given in the book I just don't think that the fan art and cover art match what the sword should look like. Here's the original quote from the book: "Richard's gaze fell upon the sword. The silver scabbard gleamed with gold flourishes that embellished it sweeps and waves. Steel crossguards swept out and down aggressively. Finally twisted silver wire covered the grip, and interwoven along the side of the braided silver, gold wire formed Truth. This, Richard thought, was the sword of a King. It was the finest weapon he had ever seen."

maybe, that would be a hard one to judge though I guess we could just make a poll and vote for the best one, but next month is also the month of Halloween and I wanted to do something for that but i havent thought anything up yet.

I never really thought about it, but now that you mention it, the pictures don't look anything like the description in the book.

I've tried to create one before but I suck at drawing lol. I'm more the guy that manipulates an image to make it work. Reason that I started this thread was because I wanted to use an accurate picture of the Sword of Truth for the guild logo and I couldn't find one sad ....hopefully all of you artsy people can draw up a good one smile

Nice guys! Yeah you'd think they'd try to get the art on the covers to be accurate. Maybe they were too lazy to draw the Sword of Truth it all its magnificence.

maybe the artist didnt read the book... or maybe they didnt know how the replicate the description. i know i sometimes have difficulty doing that when i try to draw... then again the picture they choose would have to be accepted before it became the cover
