Ok, so our Japan Club at school is gonna have a cosplay day in April (so far away!). I know it may seem silly now, but I need character ideas, as anyone who has ever cosplayed will tell you, it's not cheap or quick. Criteria:
1. Must fit dress code! No strapless or spagetti straps, and skirts or shorts must be longer than your fingertips while your arms are at your sides.
2. I'd perfer not to crossplay for this.
3. It must be something you can move easily in! We're doing the Hare Hare Yukai dance, so I have to be able to move quickly.

Riza would fit that criteria. So would just about any military officer.

Most FmA girls (excluding Winry and her... lack of a shirt) fit those guidelines pretty well.
I would suggest Sheska, probably because it would be a fairly easy cosplay.
Though I must admit, that wouldn't be the most interesting costume you could work on. ^^''

I'm thinking about Malon from LoZ: OoT right now. I'm just concerned about the amount of detail on the fabric itself... I'm trying to figure out a way to make my current costume (Mew Mint) fit dress code. I'm failing.

I think any of the Mews might be hard... for the guidelines.
Oh~! Lucky Star! I've read a wee little bit of the manga. It's cute! But it's really similar to Azumanga Daioh. xD

I've decided to scrap the 3rd guideline. It's just too hard to work with. Right now, Princess Kakyuu is high on the list.
