I've HAD it with people asking me to RP when they KNOW I can't RP for SH*T!!! I don't reply quickly and I HATE ALL THE RULES FOR RPing. DAMN.
Then they go and bash me and in a way bash my guild for no good reason!
I mean, the only reason why I have an RP subforum in my guild in the first place is so that people would have more reason to join. UGH!

I love RPing. I follow the base (or what should be base) rules for RPing. Yet I don't RP in Gaia. Why? Because 99% of the loser RPers in this site would rather break the rules and be assholes about it, than do what you do.
So, in all seriousness, I have to agree with you on this one. Why RP when you don't know and don't want to learn? It would only create one more RP n00b And the Gaia School Of Dedicated RPing guild is full of 'em, I was gonna join until I checked their RPs... So I don't think the site needs more of'em.
As a sidenote, it's sad one can't RP well in this place. I've had several RPs running for months (with five or six people posting at least twice a day, deep and long posts, not one-liner "omg I loled!" I see in Gaian RPs too often,) and one old RP that kept running for four years.
Yep, read that right. It run for four years, had a plot, had several characters introduced along the way (and the plot altered accordingly) and had an ending, too. It was in Yahoo, though, so it was eaten by the shitty change from clubs to groups.

It's as simple as if you don't want to, then don't. Additionally, tell those people to rack off, they have NO right in giving you hass for not doing something you don't want to nor need to do.

I know how to RP, I mean, I can follow the "rules"...it's just that I don't like to reply often because it takes too long...and I have my OWN story to worry about. And when I don't reply, they yell at me telling me to hurry up. What do I do when people rush me in things I really don't care about? I quit.

I join one RP a year, at most, at different sites.
Basically, RPing is (or used to be before it was swarmed by n00bs,) one of the best ways to learn how to create real fanfiction.
Because to RP well, you have to think like the character (doesn't matter if you create it yourself or it is a canon character, you'll still have to follow the behavoir a character with those given traits would have,) and that's also what you have to do to write good fanfiction.
RP or fanfiction aren't about creating someone who'll screw "character A", end, roll ending credits, but creating a character (or characters) that could coexist with the ones already there in canon, and enhance the original plot.
Or you can even change the original plot, with limits you have to set yourself, and always taking care of not having characters change overnight and for no reason. For example, I had Sailor Moon destroy most of Tokyo to eliminate an alien threat. But it wasn't out of the blue, the alien creature had destroyed all of her district, her family and her friends (even some of the Senshi,) so she just grabbed her personal Dragon Of Wishes (aka the Silver Crystal,) and vaporized Tokyo along with the monster.
It was one of two possible outcomes for the "everyone I care for is dead" in Usagi's case, the other being she went Asuka-doll mode (crawl to a corner, rock back and forth and look like Shinji on an average day,) which would be a quite boring scenario IMO (If I want to see stupid emo trips, I can always watch any episode of Evangelion, since Shinji's a fountain of emo.)
As for "not liking to reply often," I do something quite funny when I know I won't have time for an RP I join. I often use either a sidekick or a henchman of a villain instead of going for self-proclaimed uber-hero or uber-villain. (Or the annoying girl who's after the same guy the main girl is, but we only see every eight episodes or so, in romantic comedy-type RPs.)
Then again, I'm known for having sidekicks in my fics become the main character, even though someone else's doing the "kill the villain" thing. It's my case with Terry Zephyr, an OC first created as an all-around sidekick character (as in, would work in most realities/series,) but his personality was so changed by the fic itself, I doubt he could exist as, let's say a sidekick for Goku, or a random ninja in Naruto (even if Terry is, basically, a techno-ninja, even after gaining Senshi powers.)
One thing I've never done or understood, is having one single character for all RPs. You'll have to adapt them to every different world you play in, and in the end, you'll end up playing a whole different character... And that's why I have (counts) six OCs I use for RPs, including a digimon catgirl, a ninja, a knight with little sense of honor but who still does the right thing in the end, a sorceress whose spells work rather randomly, a "talking" Bulbasaur and his female trainer that speaks Pokemon language.
And if I think an RP I want to join will not work for any of those, I can always make a new character.
And as for the rules... They're made to be bent, but not broken... And I'm a master of bending the RPing rules (as long as they're not obnoxious rules like "post once a day or get the heck out of here" which show the GM either has no life and/or thinks others don't have one.)
I know, I know, too many words. I point at my over 20 MB of published and unpublished fanfics and rest my case on that matter.

Nope. The next time someone asks me to RP I'll directly say no. And if they start being persistent, they'll be on my ignored list.
