Her star had done it. It had finally taken her to the place she was destined to stay in for a while. It was not the original pride she had been looking for, but she was sure her star was guiding her correctly. It had led her to Uri which blessed her with the promise of cubs, and now she had found a place that seemed just perfect.

In the middle of a vast and hot desert, she had been told by a maned wolf, to look for a rock. She had done as she was told and found herself looking at a beautiful Oasis in the middle of the dry sands. She casiously approached and looked around for one of the members that was already living here, or so the wolf had claimed.

Muroki was on watch at the time. While he'd clearly become the leader of the group of lions, throughout the journey proving he was fine to take charge and not by blood alone, he wouldn't offically become king until they retook the Temple. Not in his own eyes. And so he insisted on doing every mundane task everyone else took turns doing. Including standing watch.

So it wasn't long before he was approaching the exotic lioness, who was much slimmer than their previous meeting. She must have had her cubs, he mused, as he tried to recall the lioness' name. Dimu. Yes....that was it!

"Hello, Dimu."

The lioness turned as she heard a familiar voice and recognized the male she knew was the leader of the group. The one she had spoken to once before. She smiled charmingly and bowed her head in respect before she decided to speak.

"Hello Muroki. You look well. How are things with the pride coming? Have you gained many interested parties?" She asked politely, maintaining a very elegant posture. She was polite in many ways and always soft spoken. She only grew a bit casual around Uri and her sons.

As always, Dimu was courtly and charming. Muroki smiled, though he didn't bow as was custom for an heir, at her approach. She was a pleasant lioness and the Dawnwalker was glad she had made it. It was a shame that they couldn't assure the safety of all the cubs yet, for he would have liked to have met her offspring.

"Well enough. Many have joined us, and while we prosper well enough here, the vultures grow restless and worried." He waved a paw at the main body of the Oasis as a gesture. "And how are you Dimu? Your family...?"

Dimu seemed to glow at the question of her family. She had recently given birth to her cubs, but was a bit sad to leave them for now, but she knew Uri could take care of them. "Four lovely boys. They are staying with their father in the cheetah lands." She said softly, sitting down as her eyes glimmered with pride. "I cannot wait until we clear the temple of the vultures to bring them..."

She was already formulating plans on how to figure out the vulture problem and find a way to bring the cubs sooner. "I don't suppose the vultures are attacking anyone in the oasis are they? Or only the ones in the temple?" She asked in a more buisness like tone.

"Four sons? Congratulations." His smile grew, happy for her, having thought that during their brief meeting before that the then-cubheavy female had been looking forward to motherhood. So four cubs was a blessing indeed. As was that while not lovers, she had a good friend in the father, who'd look after them while Dimu helped with the vultures.

"The vultures will harass any who goes alone and are more likely to attack the closer you are to the Temple. They occasionally come here to swarm but besides fly low and make pests of themselves..."

"I see... I will stay and help you plan on how to rid the pride of them, and once it is deemed safe, I will send for my sons. I know atleast half of them are mad I elft with out them..." She said somewhat sadly, but kept a smile layed about her maw either way. She had a job o do, and it would be good for the boys to spend time with their father, as they would see him less after they came to the pride with Dimu. She didn't want to make Uri move for their sons, besides, they were friends, and that was all Dimu wanted from him, the cubs might have had different opinions on how their parents should act towards each other.

"Now, about my position. I wanted to know if the position of priestess was still open or if you have found someone who is more quallified? I know I am only really adept at reading hte stars and interpereting them." She said with a smile. She wouldn't be upset if another, better, one thne her was picked, just as long as she could still be happily situated in the pride as a hunter, or something that would give her something to do.

"Undoubtedly they'll miss their mother - but I'm glad for the help and look forward to the day we can send for them." He said pleasantly, then added as an after thought - "One of the good birds might rely the message."

He gestured for her to come walk with him, to come into the Oasis proper. It was more pleasant under the shade of the trees and the cool breeze that came off the deep pools. Muroki made towards a nice spot where they could talk some more.

"It's a valuable talent, being able to read the stars. If you're still willing to learn the Clan's ways, I'd still love for you to be a priestess."

"I ll have no qualms with learning the prides ways, so long as it will not frown upon the lack of my son's father." She was glad to learn and adopt any customs of the pride so long as her sons would not be looked down upon because of their fathers heritage, and the fact that Dimu was not of Dawn Walker blood, as far as she knew anyways.

"And I will gladly be your priestess." she added as she followed the Pharoah to sit in the shade and feel the cool breeze ruffle her white fur. She settled herself and glanced aroudn at what would be her residence until the vultures were taken care of.

"As I've said since our first meeting, me and mine would never look down upon them. And any who cause offence will be breaking our codes." He skipped over the issue of rank, for before anything else, Dimu was a mother. Muroki would rather have her happy about her family joining than going over priestess things.

"This is a Clan. It's pride, pack, troop and flock and all are equal under the sun. There's been cheetah-lion children is our histories before. Rarely, but..." He shrugged and offered a smile. But obviously, they had no problem with them.

Dimu nodded and seemed relieved. "I am glad, as I was hoping this clan would be a good place to raise my cubs." The lioness stated easily, very pleased with the outcome of the conversation.

Her thoughts wandered back to her rank. "So being the Priestess, how will this affect my children? will one of them be destined to take my rank when I pass on?" She asked curiously. She wasn't sure which of her boys could do it. Maybe Tabuu if he grew up a little.

"Often the rank is passed on, but if they don't have the gift - since we do need priests who have that extra spark - or their desires are elsewhere, we won't force it on them. However if one wants to follow in your pawprints the that would be nice." He replied, trying not to talk too much or make it sound harsh.

"You'll join another pair who're on the same path in lessons with me. While I was not a priest before I became an heir, I can still remember the lessons of my mother, the old priests and I can read what writing we have in the lesser ruins. We meet on the ..."
He trailed off, giving the female information of when lessons would be and where, pleasently. He'd been almost a juvenile when he'd last had a lesson himself but he'd studied as much as he could since and would be able to pass on their Clan's religion. If only they had one of the old priests to help....no matter. They'd managed.

And so ended the meeting~
