For people who don't know what an MMO is, its a massive multioplayer online game, well they should make an elder scrolls like oblivion and have it over xbox live, have a person cap of 50 or something so it won't be too overcrowded on a server, and when you go too a town, you can see a saver who saves your characters stat, that when you die you come back to the last town you saved in with those stats, it would have a disc like the others and look like oblivion, I just think that would be cool.

Elder Scrolls isn't designed for multiplayer. It might be fun, doing missions together. But you'd have to get rid of the story. And it'd probably be a PC game. And really, without the story, it's just a flashy MMO, like WoW. You'd need a much larger enviornment.
But it'd be a cool game. I'd pick it over WoW any day.
also, there is a fan based project called Oblivion Online. They've got it working pretty well. so, maybe you should check it out.

I, personally, would hate it...
First of all, it would kill lore, second, we would have a bunch of whiny 8 year olds who swear all the time playing it, third, we wouldn't be able to randomly kill people, and finally, I've always found MMOs to get boring and repetitive after a while...
