In honour of the fact that That Jane AUsten Thread was originally a Mr Darcy thread I decided we needed a Mr. Darcy thread in the guild too.

Also how can we say we are a Jane Austen guild if we don't have pics of Mr. Darcy in a wet shirt!

I agree with Bingly, but Caroline was pretty in the 2005 version!

Oh, I think she was gorgeous, but I definitely wouldn't want to be friends with her.

I will admit that 2005 Mr. Darcy has eyes that are so expressive that I would melt into a pile of goo if he looked at me the way he looked at Elizabeth..

*melts at the thought* Matthew MacFadyen is, indeed, gorgeous.

He looks with such longing and desire. *melts* What girl wouldn't want the man she loves (even if she doesn't realize it) look at her like that?

My favourite part of AAAAALLLL the film is when he just bursts out with "I love you"...I melt EVERY time I see that...and then Lizzie tears him apart. Which can be amusing!

Oh - I love that part too!! Although, I love the end of the movie when they are sitting together and he's kissing various parts of her face. *sighs*

Alas, it is the only part that is totally off the wall when it comes to adaptation to the book...and when I saw it with my mum...well, it was really awkward!
