Are you suggesting another sub-forum? Beats me anyways, I don't mind discussing music right here but theres the possibility that other people don't share the same music interests as you do and discussion can be rather slow and stale. Anyway my taste in music is mandopop and I prefer some Korean and Jap songs too.

hmm.. not sure about having it as a subforum.. maybe a thread here in the main forum is enough? ^^
as solryu said not everyone share the same kind of music so if you keep that discussion gathered into a thread instead of a whole subforum then you can avoid some staleness I guess if that would occur ^^
and personally I mostly listen to japanese music as well but I'm not limited to it or have any particular genre I only listen to.. if the song is good then it's good XP

okay okay so not a sub forum but at least a thread. Maybe posting links to youtube where you can see the video and listen to the song. I don't know lol, just chucking ideas out there.
I'm getting that a lot of people in gaia only listen to japanese music. I have a lot of japanese music too but I like other stuff too like Charlotte Martin, Elisa, Tricky, Bjork, Flyleaf, Suneohair, Citizen Cope, Dave Matthews Band, Imogen Heap, Steve Conte, Scott Matthew, All things by Yoko Kanno, Fiona Apple, The Dresden Dolls, Daft Punk, Goo Goo Dolls, and so much more crap it would take me forever to list them.
I just thought it would be cool to share all different types of music.

A music thread is fine with me to start out. We'd actually need some musicians and composers in the guild before I'd be willing to purchase a subforum for the topic though. *plays piano, french horn and a bit of trumpet but can't compose worth a darn*
I can listen to just about any sort of music from classical and country to pop and dance. I really enjoy heavy rock and some metal though but outside of Emenem's earlier stuff, I can't stand rap or hip hop or that gangsta garbage. I have a huge collection of older anime music from shows like Outlaw Star, Record of Lodoss Wars, Gundam Wing and so forth.

For my favorite music, I usually listen to Rock and stings like Iron Maiden. I also like Pink Flyod rofl
