Okay. So as many of you know, I have bought a Brown Synthetic Western Saddle from the Weaver Leather line. It's a 16 inch saddle, and fits Penny VERY well.

BUT.

Last week (the week AFTER she bucked me) she had some Pinching. Even though my Western Saddle BLANKET is under the saddle, there is pinching and discomfort, which is a reason why she bucked.

NOW. I got a Western Saddle PAD. (It's blue, black and white, and has Suede patches on it from the Weaver Leather Line )
I need to know.
How the heck does it go on and does it go Over or Under the blanket!? xp

well, if it fits VERY WELL, there would be no pinching, now would there? stare just because it says QH tree doesnt mean it fits all QHs, especially ones that dont have the straightest back.

anyways, u put the blanket on as if u were just going to use that, smooth out all the wrinkles, make sure its even adn in place, then put the pad on top. the blanket is to keep the pad cleaner because its easier to wash a blanket than it is a pad (some pads will go moldy if u wash them because u cant dry them).

Well, Pinching is just from the saddle not sitting too well when at the canter. It's a Full QH tree. It fits. Savanna agrees. (She has used ALL of the saddle's Norm had. ALL western. Each one fitted multiple horses. )
But. The pinching is near her back, near the somewhat not going away spinal bumps. (Takes time, but it's getting fat on it which means she will not have that spot anymore. biggrin ) It's small, but it's noticeable, even in my english saddle. (Though, getting a fuzzy sheep skin like saddle pad for winter might be nice. x3 )

Ah okay. xD I was a bit confused at first. It just looked so weird cause it's not broke in or anything. xd Thanks.

Ooo...Nice MSPAINT skills. biggrin 4laugh

yeah.. it sounds like you really need the thick pad. Just make sure everything is even and laying as flat as it can. check both sides and from the back to make sure its even. you might have to star over a few times to get everything right. i did at first. it helps to put everything a little too far forward, and then once the saddle is just sitting on there, slide it back into place. this will make sure her fur is laying flat and isnt rubbing as u ride.
