No, I'm not asking for requests or recommendations. I have just a question and it always startled me.
Why do male artists tend to write more romantic music than female artists? It's nothing against sexism because that would degrade my own gender. xD
but really. Do you ever wonder that too?

That's an interesting thought, and it seems right on, too. Truthfully, I've seen that it seems that it's seen as the man starting the relationship, or realizing the truth of his feelings, and acts on them most directly, and when the flames of passioin burn high, the most sweet and beautiful writing comes, and should one be cast into the pits of despair, it takes on a more melancholy air. For instance, I fell for a girl I know, and I can say that it was so much more than a simple crush. I wrote several poems for her, each one entirely inspire by her. When I found that I could not be with her, I wrote what I can say is one of my best pieces of of writing, which was this:
"A Love of No Escape"
Pain, I felt, when we could not be A feeling I wished you just could see. I tried to go, just run away Yet in my mind you were content to stay.
Pain, 'tis said, makes us know what is real. Is this the price that must be paid to feel?
In my mind, I see you, simply standing there I try to let you be gone; yet I know not to where I raise the knife in the dark of that thought Blade strikes down, to redeem the pain wrought
Even in dream, my hand doth freeze, I still choose not to hate Is it wisdom I have found? Will the pain finally abate?
Pain sears me again, yet even in dream, I could never harm thee. Have I found another cruel truth of life, or graven image of me?
