There's another thread made for the album here. It's not getting much love at the moment, though, and I'm not even sure if that's OK when there's an official one, but I'm seriously too drunk and happy to care. So the bottomline is credits go to figgismcfiddis for bringing the news to you first! Bless you, you awesome soul!

Anyway, *cough* You can either have it shipped as a discbox for £40 BUT you get the album, a bonus CD (with Last ******** Flowers! Gaaah!), 2 x 12 inch vinyl records, artwork and digital photographs, and a lyric booklet in neat packaging. Or you can download it online. Here's the thing: one, there's no DRM on the downloads, and two, the price is up to you. (Wakey wakey, you're not dreaming.) It's bitchslapping the industry right at its fat, ugly face. So now we've got music and a cool and innovative business model to look out for.

The downloads will be available by October 10, 2007. (Yes, we ARE getting it THIS YEAR!) It'll be available in traditional CD format early next year. (References will be added shortly.)

For everyone's information, the tracklisting:

CD 1 AND VINYL
15 STEP
BODYSNATCHERS
NUDE
WEIRD FISHES/ARPEGGI
ALL I NEED
FAUST ARP
RECKONER
HOUSE OF CARDS
JIGSAW FALLING INTO PLACE
VIDEOTAPE

CD 2 AND VINYL
MK 1
DOWN IS THE NEW UP
GO SLOWLY
MK 2
LAST FLOWERS
UP ON THE LADDER
BANGERS AND MASH
4 MINUTE WARNING

Details here.

If you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go get pissed. *trots off*

EDIT: Hahaaa, I was so drunk and excited I forgot the most important bit. We value your custom: Time, The Guardian, NMEshits, everyone is talking about it.

I'M IN ******** RAINBOWS RIGHT NOW!!! THEY FINALLY ARE GOING TO RELEASE THIS s**t. AND IT'S ABOUT DAMN TIME!!!

I do kinda wish it did came it out in cd form though, it's kinda hard to add it to my cd collection when it costs 81 US dollars.

But then again I've already heard most of the songs on the new album, and based on them, I think this may be their weakest album yet. Move over Amnesiac.

eek

Amnesiac needs a support group, seriously! sad

Pitchfork says the RH publicist says they'll be releasing it the traditional way, too. Although it's not due until early next year...

I'm excited! I might spring for the discbox since that's pretty sweet. Expensive, though!

As soon as I saw that on Dead Air Space yesterday morning I started squealing excitedly. XD.
I can't freaking wait. Even though I'm going to have to wait, until next year.
In Rainbows...I like it.

(lolz, I don't like Amnesiac either)

Poor Amnesiac, I still love you.

I'll just download the thing and buy the real CD later when it's released. I really want to hear all 18 tracks and not just 10 and wait 2 months for 8 more. Well I guess it's better than waiting til 2008 for the bloody thing.

yay for Amnesiac hate!!!(even though I still rank it highly among all the albums I've ever heard...which is a lot)

Yeah, I heart Amnesiac too, but I keep on losing the CD. D:

That may have something to do with the fact that I love it; I don't listen to it quite as often as the other albums.

Really? I have live versions of pretty much every song on there, and I think that they all sound amazing. I'd agree that Amnesiac is probably my least favorite Radiohead album (well, either that or Pablo Honey), but if the songs on the new album sound anything like the live songs they've been playing, then I think it could definitely be one of their better albums.

Well, I really don't think 15 Step is up to par with Radiohead standards. And I prefer Bangers and Mash over Reckoner. And House of Cards is too slow and too long.
