*sniff**sniff* I am so proud of GAINAX, they've finally regained their reputation in the anime community. It was truly a proper ending. Of course like everyone else I really wanted to Nia to live and have a nice long future with Simon.
Which leads me to my question/theory to you guys. How would you see Simon's life had Nia lived?
Here's mine:
I figured he'd still renounce the seat to Spiral King and want to live a nice normal life. He'd probably be something small in the government with Rossiu ( that is if he is willing to work for the government again; I'm not so sure he enjoyed that whole anarchy. ^^; ). Being married to Nia, who is a sweet little housewife, would have a kid or two; with another one coming on the way.
The two kids, along with Anne, Rossiu's kid (boy or girl, doesn't matter as long as they hook up with one Simon's kids XDD.), and anyone else you can think of from the Gurren Brigade would go to school on that island with Yoko as their sensei; Sure it's far, but hey who better to educate them than the sharpshooter starlet herself.
Overall Simon and Nia would just enjoy life together with all their friends, reminiscing on the good old days, having a few weekend trips to the beach and a get together at their place.
*sigh* but I suppose this can only remain as an AU out there, but it's still a nice thought.
