I was wondering if there was something like a pin-up lifestyle? If no, maybe we can create one heart !
Suggestions:
-Wear perfume everyday, even if you have nothing planned. No. 5 was Marylin's favourite, but it's better to choose a perfume that you like wink .
-Search for vintage furniture, a must-have is one of those 50's chunky phones.
-Wear a silk, satin or velvet dressing gown during evening! It's sexy, classy and so comfortable! And, if you feel like it, you can wear those cute matching high-heeled slippers!
-Paint your finger-nails and toe-nails.
-If you feel like taking your time, curl up your hair in the good old-fashioned way: with hair curlers!
-Go to the drive-in with your mates.

That would be fun, I think I'll have to do that when I move out. I do already wear perfume, but I should start wearing it everyday. Thanks for the ideas!

I really do wish I could dress nice and be all glamorous every day. :[
I'm just too lazy. D:
BUT OMG i wish we still had drive-ins around here. They were all torn down. There used to be this one next to the river that was just awesome, now its a parking lot for old train cabs. :'C

I was fairly Pin-uppish today!
I wore this with much more exciting stockings, and my bangs did that fabulous wave business on their own...not to mention my toes are lime green and purple!
blaugh
I also recommend acquiring a fondness for wearing polka dots and putting flowers in your hair. It adds a very classy, vintage air to whatever you dress yourself in.

I don't like lifestyle things so much, the "lolita" lifestyle kind of ruined gothic lolita for me. I didn't like it at all.
I like this lifestyle better though.

i do some of those.
i wear perfume and makeup everyday (even if i'm not going anywhere), i wear a satin dressing gown at night, and i paint my fingernails and toenails.
i've found a few fantastic second hand shops that have the most wonderful vintage things.
old couches, radios, desks; you name it!
though since i don't have a job, i've only been able to admire, not buy. ):

though since i don't have a job, i've only been able to admire, not buy. ): i know what you mean, i limit my collection right now (until i'm out of college) to my retro hats and random items (ex: the old porcelain icecream topper containers i found that i've still yet to find a use for smile ), but it's still friggty expensive. the one thing that makes me really really sad though, is all the lovely cars in the area here that are totally rotting to pieces and just laying in peoples yards with for sale signs in the windows... some of them are gorgeous old chevys too... if only i had money rolleyes

We still have a drive in where I live. Me and Friends saw HP4 in the Drive in. It twas awesome. <3
I suppose I KIND OF live pin-uppy. My own personal style thrives on vintage clothes. I even do my hair in 1940's aviation styles, bright red lipstick, and poka-dotted heals. A couple of times people have said I look like I've walked out of the 50's. I even have a green satin nightgown. I adore the whole glamour of dressing up, though I don't wear perfume. Bad allergies...>.>

I like this kind of lifestyle a lot. I wish I weren't so gosh darn lazy! But I usually don't take the time to curl my hair or do rolls. I do however take the time to apply my makeup properly when I'm going out and I usually wear stockings and a garter belt with my dresses and skirts.
As for everyday, I wear an underbust corset for tightlacing... always, obviously lol. Perfume, everyday as well. I'm going to try to make it more of a habit to be more glamourous though. I just need the props... I need to purchase some flowers for my hair, since I'm lazy about the hair, and train myself to do some vintage hairstyles as well. Basically, I need to set up a whole beauty routine for everyday, not just going out.

I guess I live kind of pinup, I rarely wear tights (pantyhose) - unless my skirt is too short, I really live in stockings and suspenders, cute underwear sets and a lot of dresses, I wear high-heels most of the time and I curl and roll my hair quite a lot. I wear hats when I'm out, or hair flowers, and on my 'dressed down' days I put my hair up into a do-rag ^-^
I'm just getting more and more vain xxx
