The previous encounter with Starscream was hardly placed on the back of Jazz’s mind after he had left the stubborn seeker to soak in the hot spring. In fact the discovery of a fellow Mech in the aria was pretty much all Jazz could think about, normally Jazz would not be to thrilled with seeing Screamer, Jazz preferred good nature fun Bots like Bumblebee, but Jazz found it amusing to get those sarcastic remarks, grimacing expressions, While at the same time being offered help and being hurt because of it.
Jazz hardly knew what to think of Starscream anymore, though he guessed the mild change was due to being with out another Mech for a while as well. Something Jazz could honestly relate to.

Since that day, Jazz found himself wandering back towards the cove and hot spring. Covering his curiosity with the simple explanation in his mind with “its just a casual walk” though keeping his optic sensors turned for any sign of the seeker, unable to help but wonder if his wing was properly repaired.
Knowing better then to go into the cove again, rocks or not, he would strut around it sticking to the grass. But either by bad timing on his part, or just that the Seeker didn’t come back since then, Jazz had not run into him yet.

“Its not about the salary it’s all about reality and makin’ some noise”
the soft music, turned down to a comfortable level, but still enough for Jazz to enjoy it, head held high, tails swishing in time to the music, casual stride breaking every so often as he snuck in some smooth move as the music took on a particularly enjoyable beat.
Tilting his head to the side, as he got closer to the aria he had known Screamer to be chilling, cranking the music again to see if he could annoy the seeker enough to draw him out, if of course he was there today.
”This is ten percent luck, twenty percent skill, fifteen percent concentrated power of will. Five percent pleasure, and fifty percent pain and a hundred percent reason to remember the name”

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Starscream lay crouched on his belly on a grassy part of the cliff overlooking the cove, his head held high and his optics offline with his talons crossed over each other in front of him. His pose was reminiscent of the great sphinx, not that he would use such a comparison. His wings were splayed as much as they could be to catch the sun as the ocean breeze wafted over him, one wing comfortably set in ground mode and the right stuck in flight mode.

After damaging his wing, Starscream had done everything he could think of to coax his self-repair systems to fix it, but the damage was too great. He needed an outside party with smaller claws or even hands to reach between the panels and fix the cables and gears that were stuck, but regardless of how much he missed the clouds, he was not yet willing to concede defeat and seek the help of the organic infidels that littered this land. He was Starscream - if he couldn't count on himself, he couldn't count on anyone.

Still, after so long, he terribly missed the clouds and the straight-line wind over his wings. He tried flying again, but it only sent agony through the injured wing and shoulder, so he remained earthbound. He only kept away the despair by laying in the grass overlooking the cove and basking in the sun. He dared not go down to the cove itself since he couldn't fly to blow out any sand which may have entered his systems.

User ImageAh well, it was what he expected at least, and he was partly grateful he would not have liked to go into the cove again.
Cutting off his long-range sensors, leaving the music at the volume he had set it at, the flightless Eoghan mech continued to along the grass skirts of the cove, trying to ponder an alternate form of entertainment. He didn’t like being alone; Jazz was far more comfortable with a group, but around here, that was rarely possible.
Turning up the music even more to try and give himself the illusion that there was more going on then there actually was.
Pausing from his stride Jazz glanced around where he sat, thinking of what he could do now. He could go to the mountains and see if he could find that one icky Eoghan he had met, she was nice. Or he could wander around the fields until he met of up with that other female, Wood. She didn’t even seem to happy to see Jazz around, though he knew it was because he could easily cause damage to plants, And he knew she loved plants. But he still found her just as intriguing, and he really just wanted some company. Maybe he could share some music with them.

From his stationary position a blip went off in his sensor systems is it slowly expanded to cover a larger aria, alerting him of a presence?
Jerking his head up surprised, he glanced around, but still the aria was void of anyone.

”Better not be glitchin’” he grumbled softly, lifting his claw up to the side of his helmet and tweaking with the settings on his visor. But still, it showed that there was another significant life form in the aria, and STILL there was no one on the field of cove that his Optics or advanced vision could pick up.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Starscream suddenly rose into view over the tall grass not far from Jazz, his damaged wing quivering faintly. He could not bear sitting still anymore even though moving hurt. He still refused to admit defeat and ask for help though. Maybe another soak in the hot spring would help the soreness at least for a little longer.

It was only because he was so sore that Starscream did not notice Jazz's music. He turned to start in the direction of the hot spring, his left front leg stiff and hitching with each step though he made no noise of complaint. To do so would be admitting to himself that he could not cope with his own stupidity.

User ImageHis visor blipped again, but this time giving a clear and definite location to the life form, zeroing in on it and zooming till he got a clear image, his optic shutters snapped closed a couple of times in a blink as he saw… none other then Starscream.
Music clicking off as he noticed the other Mech was retreating, but what stood out was of course the off set wing… and the stride that just gave away the obvious to Jazz. Starscream’s wing had not been properly repaired. Jazz was not sure if he should be surprised by that fact.

It seemed that the seeker had not noticed him, which was just fine with Jazz, he was curious to see what the Seeker was up to anyway.
Monitoring distance and scans Jazz began stalking Starscream once again staying out of sight and sensor readings.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.If Starscream had any idea he was being followed, he did not show it. He continued east at a slow, painful pace and headed toward the hot spring where Jazz had last seen him. There, he limped into the water and sagged down in it again, the water rippling as he shuddered in it from the pain in his shoulder.

What did he do to deserve this, Starscream often found himself wondering. He stopped the thought right there though - he knew he had done plenty to deserve it. He was a hateful, spiteful mech - he deserved very little remorse. Besides, he had asked for this. Starscream knew he should not have been a show-off with Jazz that day, but he just had to try to freak out the white mech by diving and pulling up. Then he did not properly calculate the angle and speed of the dive with Jazz's additional weight.

Starscream let out a long, pained sigh and rested his head on the rock around the hot spring. Yes, he deserved this.

User ImageJazz didn’t settled back into his old spot for monitoring, he had no intention of just sitting back and watching this time, but it didn’t mean he had to make his presence known so soon.
Remaining in stealth mode as he crawled towards the hot springs, getting as close as he could with out being detected.
It was very much like Screamer to let the pain continue on like that with out getting anyone to help him, Jazz was sure it was fixable, but for whatever excuse Starscream had, probably from not knowing anyone else to help out, probably due to that superiority complex he had over everyone else.

Sitting up when he got to a ledge above the hot springs, he lowers his head below his shoulder and tilts it to the side slightly. Knowing by now Starscream’s sensors probably picked him up… if of course the pain was not numbing that part of his circuitry

“Man yer wing’s still all crooked” he said loud enough for the Seeker to hear him.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Starscream's sensors did indeed pick up Jazz's presence, but he paid them no mind, assuming at first that it was just an animal. When the intruder spoke though, he jumped and splashed hot water out of the spring as he stiffly turned around to face the owner of that voice.

Crimson optics narrowed, and the dark face settled in a scowl. "What do you want?" Starscream growled. He was more angry at himself than Jazz. Being seen this weak and injured was the last thing he wanted, but it was too late now. All he could do now was downplay his injury so he would not continue to appear so weak.

User ImageJazz could not hold back his chuckled of amusement towards Starscream’s reaction, it was what he had aiming for, the glare he received back, followed the unwelcome tone in his vocalize was the kind of greeting he had expected.
The corners of Jazz’s beak turned up pleasantly as he tilted his head to the other side. Leaning forwardly slightly onto his front claws that only sank farther into the ground with the added weight.
“Well don’t you know how ta make a mech feel welcome.”
He pushing himself up on all fours sliding forward and dropping off the ledge, to level himself with the spring and Starscream, landing in one of the water puddles created when Starscream had jumped.
Glancing down at it as his legs were splashed with warm water, visor snapping up into his helmet as he lifted one of his claws to shake it dry.

“Sorry I startled ya, but ya should have been able ta notice me. Less I’m just that wild with stealth”
sits down and waits expectantly for another one of Starscream’s ill-tempered replies, simply being happy that he was talking to someone. But unable to keep his optics from trailing over to the off angled wing, still curious as to why it had not properly repaired its self.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Starscream let a low, rumbling growl roll from him, the noise making the water shake over him. "I was asleep," he lied. He could have determined it was Jazz if he had bothered to actually check his sensors, but he was too preoccupied trying to numb the pain to be bothered. "What do you want?" the injured mech demanded again. He was tempted to leave, but he knew that would not be a good idea. Not only was his agonized shoulder not warm enough to lessen its stiffness, but he knew Jazz would only follow him, and he was not about to limp and whimper in front of the white mech.

User Image"said before didn't I" he answered
while what was not entirely true, Jazz had considered him comment had certainly given a good enough reason as to why Jazz had sudenly shown up.

"was just takin' a walk... yer wings still crooked."
he repeated.
purposely leaving out that he was just lonely and wanted another Mech to talk to. Slag, most would wince at the idea of going to Starscream for company, back on there home planet Jazz might have as well. but he was a bit more willing to put up with the attitude now, especially since he was curious as to the act of... well... kindness, for lack of a better word, when Starscream helped him with the sand.
Jazz knew it was because of him that Starscream's wing had been damaged, and he was not to happy to see that it still seemed that way.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show."Yes, I know it's still crooked," Starscream snarled. He really did not like being reminded of that fact. The pain was more than enough of a reminder. "I simply haven't gotten around to fixing it yet." It was a clear lie though it was hard to tell the real reason as to why it was still damaged. Starscream was far too proud to admit how much it hurt and that he desperately needed help.

User ImageHe lifted a corner of his beak, his expressing showing just how much he didn’t believe Starscream. But the next second he checked it, rolling a shoulder and nodding his head. He didn’t understand why the seeker felt he needed to cover that up, might have been embarrassing for him yeah, but if his self repair systems have not been able to, was it really worth living in the kind of pain he looked like he was in just to save face… though, for Starscream… it probably was.
“Didn’t peg ya fer lazy Starscream, ‘specially when it came ta bein’ able ta fly”
everyone knew how much Starscream loved having the air advantage over them, or any kind of advantage really.
Rolling a shoulder again and for the most part dropping it, knowing it would only make the seeker even bitterer, and he didn’t need to go chasing him away.
Lowering himself down to the ground, claw tapping against a rock to an unheard beat.

“whats happenin’ bro. Still training them nasty crabs a yers?”

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. The injured mech growled lowly when he was accused of being lazy, making the water shake around him. If his shoulder did not hurt so much, he would have jumped out of the water and swiped the incorrigible intruder across the face. But it did, so all he could do was lie in the comforting heat and growl.

"The crabs have started a mutiny," Starscream grumbled. The heat was finally beginning to work its magic, making him light-headed and relaxed. His temper diffused with the steam rising from the spring, and he dimmed his optics a little as the pain finally began to lessen.

User ImageJazz watched the other mech's mood slowly change with building amusment. he had nearly apologized to Starscream when the seeker had growled at him, knowing he had said something to piss him off, but as the other seemed to settled down into the spring, and look rather soothed, Jazz only chuckled at the mutiny comment.

"ah well, thats a shame"

he didn't say anything more, watching the other with a mild expression, head tilting slightly to the side.
who would have guessed that hot water would actually temper Starscream. though Jazz didn't dare to test it, this was actually rather nice.
