We're studying the history of american literature in PreAP AmLit, and it's like a pendulum swinging back and forth from thing to thing.
But the pendulum is pretty much at a stop now, in my opinion, and now it's just subjects that become in vogue, rather than ideas.
Like, maybe it's just me, but the majority of books coming out now seem to be dystopian in style, although usually they end somewhat happily.
And plus, there are lots of books pounding in the idea that there are no wholly good people.
Has anyone else noticed this?
