so, has anyone else gotten the chance to check out idv4? its hellllllllla harder than v3 lol. so far ive beaten lake akina and myogi downhill. cant quite beat kyoichi on akagi uphill though.....almost lost to kenta on akagi downhill wet too.

overall its a lot of fun. but....they make you actually play the game a lot. if you didnt know yet, it doesnt automatically upgrade your car for you. every 2 or 3 quits and youll get the customize screen. so far i have....ground wires on my FD. lol. my license is currently an FD, a trueno, and an EK.

(i know i havent posted in a long a** time...ive just been lurking really lol)

I don't think I'll ever play it. It costs $5 for a card and they took out some of the cars I liked. They also took out my favorite courses, Tsuchisaka and Akina Snow. What about it makes it harder anyways?

the physics have been revamped. no more of that eraser nonsense. uhmmm the top speeds on each course are changed, and the AI is hella harder. if you were good at ver3, youll prolly take a while to get used to ver4. and yeah its 5 bucks a card. but you can save up to 3 cars on that card. and its all shared. you can beat legend of the street with any of the 3.

yeah i was disappointed that theres no more tsuchisaka. i had the fastest EK around here on OB and IB. 2:42:XXX IB, 2:44:091 OB. i still have ver3 at the arcade i work at, so i can still play on tsuchi, and shomaru, and happogahara (frickin love that course). cant wait till we get ver4 though

oh by the way, this is d0ri. changed my avatar name a while ago after i sold my trueno coupe and bought a del sol.

We have one up here in Washington in Seattle, but since it's the only one around there's usually a line up of about 15 people. Even though it's harder I will say that the physics seem a lot more realistic than in the other ones. While it may have always been fun to drift just by turning the wheel on a sharp corner before, now you'll just run into the walls if you don't plan ahead and practice. Also I like the new hard card format, although I broke the machine when I first got there. I thought it would be exactly like the old ones, so when I first played it and it asked me to insert my card, I inserted my Ver. 3 card expecting it to transfer the data and just jammed the system. I felt bad the rest of the time I was there as I started over with a new car.

I played this version this december in florida..
Defiendly took me as a shocker as i'm more used to ver.3..

The car handles more like real life, better graphics.. but way harder to control the car.. its like you have grip to only such a point and then.. bingo 180 degree turn and slammed intot he wall.. part system i find it better as i get to choose better how i want the car to handle and look compared to the previous versions.. which i played all 3 arcade stages.
