anyone know how to spice up steamed rice? tried making it with chicken stock once, but it came out rather nasty tasting..I don't want to fry it or make it into spanish rice or anything...but maybe there is something I can put to make the steamed rice better....
saw cheese and broccoli rice once, but not sure I am skilled enough to make that lol
what kind of veggies do you think would go good in or with it?

These 2 recipes are located at Taste of Home.com They have a lot of good recipes that I use often. You can even used the advanced search to make meals with the ingredients you have on hand. Rice Seasoning Mix Chicken-Flavored Rice Mix
This one is from Kraft Foods.com Make-Ahead Broccoli, Cheese & Rice
If none of these sound good to you, just do a search for Cheese Sauce; it will give you the recipe and add the vegetable you desire!

well, i'm hawaiian/japanese/chinese, among other things... so i've always used a rice cooker! sweatdrop but i find that i like to fry some garlic cloves in a pan and then chop it up and throw it in the rice cooker with the rice. it's very subtle. but i love it! heart
EDIT: caramelized onions couldn't hurt either!
