Why must you awesome they'll butcher it. It's freakin' Adult Swim, they won't cut anything out! gonk
Hell, Evangelion aired uncensored, I don't see what they could cut out of Deathnote.
Unless, you mean the voices, I don't think they'll do bad job. They did decently with Bleach and Naruto, so I'm I have confidence that they'll do good with DeathNote.

it'll probably just be those things you can't say in english
like in one bleach episode, Ishida was freaking out b/c someone didn't call him by his title (san), but you can't completly copy that in english sweatdrop

i've only been able to see the first episode, and being that i have to get up early for crap anyways, i might as well get up a little earlier to watch death note ^_^

Tommorrow @ midnight. Today, technically.
Anyways, I've already watched the first dub episode...adult swim posted it on their website. I thought it was decent; far from being impressed but still not bad at all. Though I thought the best voices were that one reporter on Light's television and one of the shinigami. =P I liked Raito's voice...sure it doesn't match up to Mamoru Miyano (I wouldn't expect it to be; he truly set the bar high and I'll be somewhat prejudiced as he will always be Raito for me.), but a decent actor in his own right and THANK GOODNESS he doesn't sound like the guy on the dub trailer. His laugh was crazy. =D I don't know if he'll be able to sound like Light in his Kira-mode, as sometimes you can sense that he's overacting, but Light in facade-mode, I think he can pull off well. Ryuk was just weird, though. I don't think with the voice he's established that he can do Ryuk's more comedic parts. Much too hoarse-sounding for my liking.

Just saw the dub last night. Gosh I wanted to sleep so bad. gonk
Not because it was boring but because I was tired.

Anyways, it was good. Better than what I thought it would be. biggrin
