RULES OF SPECIES
When roleplaying, each kind of nikku has strengths and weaknesses. These must be kept in mind while roleplaying, or else there will be penalties. Some leniency is allowed, though, especially when interacting with other nikkus. Just don't have a snow nikku vacationing in the desert or anything silly like that~

Basic Nikkus
These nikkus are very neutral when it comes to living in certain habitats. They are most comfortable in the fields and forests, but have been known to paddle around in shallow water by the beach or climb up fairly high along the mountains. They cannot reach the summit to see any snow nikkus, but can survive in the harsh environment (just very uncomfortably). They cannot swim in deep waters, as they just aren't able to keep up the strength to keep going. They generally get along well with other nikkus.

Water Nikkus
Water nikkus have trouble walking on land, and they definately cannot climb mountains. However, they excel in swimming of all kinds. They can live in any temperature of water, but usually cannot swim in strong currents or stormy weather. They are generally loners in the wild, but can get along with other nikkus just fine.

Mountain Nikkus
Mountain Nikkus cannot swim AT ALL, but are excellent runners, jumpers, and climbers. They can climb a mountain in no time at all, and often live with Snow Nikkus as much as they live with others of their kind. They to tend to have aggressive tendencies at times (especially the males), and have been known to lock horns with other Mountain Nikkus for little to no reason at all. They are usually better at getting along with other types of nikkus, though.

Snow Nikkus
Snow nikkus thrive in subzero temperatures, but have been known to venture down to the rest of the island. Normal temperatures are very uncomfortable for snow nikkus, so they often have to rest or take water breaks when in the plains. They cannot go into the deserts at all, due to the extreme heat. Snow nikkus are very unfamiliar with water (as their home has mostly ice), so they usually do not like to swim, as their long fur is very heavy when wet. In the wild they live in packs to survive, so they get along with other nikkus very easily.

Permababy Nikkus
Permababy Nikkus are newborns that are kept at that stage by the Goddess's magic, simply because they are cutest that way. Unlike regular newborns, these babies are as intelligent as a teenage nikku, can walk on all fours very easily, and their eyes are open. They have a tough time climbing or swimming due to their stubby little legs, but otherwise are extremely similar to the basic nikku. They are not permitted to breed, as they aren't quite as wise as an adult nikku, and the Goddess is afraid that any kids they would have would accidentally step on them.

Shy Nikkus
A nikku of any type or specie can be a shy one - they are often seen with a frown on their face rather than a big smile. They are much less outgoing than a normal nikku, and are often reserved and anti-social. However, with enough coaxing from other nikkus, they have been known to become regular members of nikku society. They have some serious trust issues, though, and must have a mate for life before they decide to have a family. One night stands are a huge no with these nikkus!
