I love to pretend a lot of things. And that I'm a poet is one of them. haha. But I guess I can't be judged on how well they are if they're from my heart. Right? Anyways, I guess this'll be a thread of my poetry... If it's not unwelcomed. *grin*

The Choice is Now Before You|Stained Beauty|The Thief of Hearts|Getaway Train
~~~~~~
Say so long to the ones you love When you choose the broader path
Your only hope, the narrow road Hardly ever traveled
You'll not survive for very long Ignoring the only One
Care to die? Or care to live? The choice is now before you
Want the Truth? Or love the lies? 'Cause only one can reign
Chaos or a better world? The choice is now before you
So choose the Lord and live forever Or Satan's claim will stand
I bid farewell with a hopeful heart To one day see you again
I turn towards home and conintue on The road all long and windy
So follow me or fall behind The choice... is now behind you
The Choice is Now Before You|Stained Beauty|The Thief of Hearts|Getaway Train
~~~~~
I'm a stained beauty, can you not see? If God made me perfect, how stained could I be?
I sin just like you and the rest of the world. Therefore I am stained, but a beautiful girl.
The Lord God is perfect. He makes no mistakes. The fact that I sin, just makes His heart break.
He's made me the way He's always meant to. A beauty that's stained, and not out of the blue.
Everything made by hands of our God Are perfect creations although we're all flawed.
The stains that we have are Satan's black work Not just the Lord giving us quirks.
To God we are perfect, though sinful by nature 'Cause we are His children, the lil'uns He's nurtured.
Because He is pure and perfect Himself, That's how I'm made, but with sin as my wealth.
There's nothing that comes from the Lord's beautiful hands, That wasn't created the way that He planned.

The Choice is Now Before You|Stained Beauty|The Thief of Hearts|Getaway Train
~~~~~
Who shall He pick? He the Thief of Hearts Who shall His next victim be? A victim to the Thief of Hearts The lucky people, they the victims They know what awaits them The Thief of Hearts wants them all Every heart of every one But the lucky are the minority The minority is my brethren We siblings share a common bond All hearts lost to the Thief of Hearts Lost to Love, Lost to Hope Lost to Grace, Lost to Life But we care not a bit Our shed tears are for the ones The ones who defend themselves Defending against the Thief of Hearts They know not that they fight Fight for their eternal deaths So my kindred and I pray We pray for His success So stop fighting the Thief of Hearts No Love, no Joy, no Life can compare Compare to the greatness of one One life lived in the name In the name of the Thief of Hearts One lived in the name In the name of my Father My Savior, my Lord, my heart's Thief
The Choice is Now Before You|Stained Beauty|The Thief of Hearts|Getaway Train
~~~~~
'Get away!' I cry aloud. A bad mistake, slipped from my mouth. It's over and I've let it out. 'It's forever gone?' 'Without a doubt.'
I feel all cold. So black, so old. Lost my chance, or so I'm told. To call it back, would I be so bold?
Hear the whistle, watch it chug. Wheels a-turning. I need a hug... See me collapse in the grave I've dug. How wrong of me to simply shrug.
The last thin wisp the winds just shove And it shapes into a small, grey dove. In fear and heartache, a throw my gloves, Watching the Getaway Train of Love.

Um hope it is okay to post in here...don't want to mess up the orginization of it haha. Well anyways I have to say, out of your work, I think that stained beauty is probably the most touching out of all of them, and it is so imparted with amazingness of symmetry in its work... well I don't want to go on as if I know what I am truly talking about, I mean haha I sort of do but all I want to say is that I love how the stained beauty played throughout it all and how it really reflects what is going on throughout a person's life. We are all stained, but we are all oh so beautiful in God's eyes anyways. Good job, and the other poems are great too.

Everything here is really well written, well expressed, but I thought I'd like to point out--and I've really no idea what denomination you are--but God is a loving God. I always thought, and this is just me mind, that there wouldn't be just one choice that would haunt one forever, and that if someone repented even on their deathbed, God would welcome them...
^.^
That's just me though. I really liked 'Stained Beauty', btw. It had a certain ernestness that I liked, and it sums up everything really nicely.

Wow!! Thank you guys! That means a lot to me! Stained Beauty is my favorite. And yeah. Mortal, you're right. God is Love... Choice Before You one is rather cynical and final... But the end "the choice is now behind you" is where that person dies without every having accepted Christ... So yeah... Thanks for you guys' input though!! Thank you so very much!
