Anybody heard of them ...? I don't know if they're only popular in New York and Italy, or if they're all over the place yet, but they're huge in NYC. They play some weird ******** s**t, and I recommend it to everyone. Your first thought is going to be; "Since when are accordions punk?" And your second thought is going to be; "These lyrics suck", but stay with them. Like I said, they are awesome.

One of my roommates has a CD...When he was talking about it I figured it would be horrible...because he's kinda out-there and likes stuff for music's sake alone...But we put it on one night and I liked it alright. Ripped it to my computer so I could check it out a little better...haven't gotten around to it yet.

Yeah I really dig them. And I live in Texas. They aren't big here, but I know a few people who listen to them, I have Super Taranta, Voila Intruder and Gypsy Punks. Crazy cool they are.

Yeah, they are cool.
Believe it or not they were on Warped Tour in '05.
Start wearing Purple and Sally are my two favorites.

They can be nerve gratingly annoying at times.

i just saw them today at fye, i was going to steal the cd, but i couldnt because they had that retarded plastic safety case thing. infact all of the punk albums had the anti-theft cases, i think they suspect those punk music listeners have unsound morals and are very likely to steal their precious music discs.

i dont think gorgol is that unpopular on account of they were at FYE. fye dosent have any really underground bands at all. they dont have that many punk bands either, unless you count all of those pop-punk bands as punk. so i assume gorgol has some kind of a large listener base.

No it has to do with the record label and they are on Side One Dummy, and SOD give most of their cds to bigger corporations such as F.Y.E and Best Buy.
Thats why you can find Casualties records at Target.

i always thought that was suspicious casualties and rancid and a few others hanging out in target and k-mart, thats why i stole 'on the front line' as opposed to providing cashola. Good to know that, but i think ill still steal CDs from target.

Once I stole an Agnostic Front cd from Virgin, because I was broke, and the alarm went off as I went out the door.

The security guard asked me to open my bag, looked directly at the CD I had just stolen, and told me I could go.

Gogol Bordello is pretty badass. Being an individual with Roma background (Same as a few of the band members) I grew up with the same musical influences.

Why steal CD's though? I mean besides it being fun and all, it's easier to just get it off the internet (Hello UTorrent)

you cant get that real thrill on the net, that sensation of a cold hard plastic tucked inside my boxer-breif waistband the entertaining notion that since there are actually phisical security dudes walking around and thus i have to roll around corners and sneak like james bond through a bad guy's secret volcano lair. not to mention album art rocks my socks.

that and i'm deathly afraid of internet theft from all of the pirating=death commercials, so much so that when ever i see a homeland security police van drive within the vicinity of my physical self i flip out assuming they recorded that blog i wrote two months ago. Im sure the govt. has my comp on a watch list since my friend is a suspected terrorist.

Point taken. Although being a person who has regretfully worked in the Department Store business, I know that 3/4 of the time, they see you stealing s**t, they are just too damn lazy to catch you and have to file the reports.

That being said, it is a good adrenaline fix to go and nab some s**t.
