Napalm Death played an essitial part that helped develop the grindcore genre, a fusion of thrash metal and crust punk. Other groups had previously played similar music such as Siege, Lärm, Repulsion, and Cryptic Slaughteraround their time . However, Napalm Death defined the grindcore industry with their fusion of punk aggression, fast tempoed metal-influenced production style and vocals.
The band formed in the village of Meriden near Birmingham, England in the 80s by Nicholas Bullen and Miles Ratledge. There are no original members left in the band now which hurt the band horribley.
