For me of course, this would have to be my third experience as I had to delete my first file (I didn't get a lot of cool things and I missed a few others like the goblin & thundrake, not to mention the abilities they teach).
My third time around though, was much smoother thanx to a guide on
GameFAQs that tells how to place lands so you can get rare items like the
"Zeus Mace". This is extremely helpful cuz, I had nobody to trade items with and if you don't have someone to trade with, those things are almost impossible to obtain. I was also able to know how to get one of my archers to be a hunter fast and, with that I managed to catch both the goblin & thundrake before they got extinct. I even know how to get rare weapons like the Gastra bow in bulk amounts (I think I posted the tip somewhere). My first file had 550 hours cuz I thought that the weapons I needed for the ultima attacks were only found the more you played. Too bad my idea was wrong...
rolleyes BTW, my second file has about 537 hours and still counting, while my third one has about 104.
