The Teaser

Kyou was having a bad day. One that was getting progressively worse as it went on, finally ending with a cheep verbal shot from that no good, god damned rat. The roof just wasn’t enough to calm him, so he had headed off into the woods. He needed more space apart from the others and more time by himself. He just wasn’t going to get that back at Shigure’s. So he ran as far as he could as fast as he could. Kyou found that running just for the sake of doing so sometimes help clear his mind when nothing else did. However, today was, as previously stated, not his day. He’d finally stopped to catch his breath when a distinctly unhealthy feeling came over him. The only thought he had time for was ‘oh s@#t’ and then it was gone...and so was he.

Had anyone capable of speech been there, they would have told a fantastical tale of the boy suddenly being surrounded by a dark light that would then implode in on itself. Leaving a momentary vacuum filled in with air so fast that it created a popping noise. But the only thing there was trees and the random strays that had been running with Kyou, hidden in the shadows.

Five minutes later the light returned. It looked slightly different this time. More formed, with a smooth, edged roundness that was lacking before. Strange symbols glowed violet as they scrolled across it’s surface. Slowly it faded away, revealing it’s contents.

I also added little shorts at the end of the chapters. Just some fun little extras like what you might find on a dvd. Uncommonly used Japanese words and phrases that usually tie into the chapter, humorous mini stories that stand on their own, notes on Japanese culture that appears in the main story, and a few other bits here and there.

I would really like to know what you think of all of it. I prefer all reviews to go to my FFN account and not here, as I will be more likely to check for them on there then on Gaia.

If you notice any facts or canon moments that I got wrong, please inform me in the reviews. It would be much appreciated as I hope to be as accurate as possible when it comes to portraying the Japanese culture and the internet can only help so much. Even then 99% of the information one finds on the internet is crap, so let me know of any discrepancies.

Also if there are any major, overwhelming grammar errors, I need to know so I can fix them. I have two betas/proofreaders as well as going over it myself many times, but I know things still get missed.

There are OC's in this fic. A lot of them. Twenty three by my count. Fourteen antagonists, six protagonists, and three common everyday people you would run into on any day of the week. Please read the story all the way through before passing judgment on them. Thank you and please read and review. I hope you enjoy the story.

If I did something wrong while making this topic, then I apologize now. I'm new to this guild stuff and it's past midnight here. I think I did this according to the rules, but I'm tired and high strung at the same time right now. Never a good combination.
