It started a beautiful sunlit dream in which Hisani smiled shyly and he'd been young again, with his mane just growing out...then ended up a horrible nightmare, full of greasy wings and missing love.
It had been a long time since Muroki had had a bad dream about the last time he'd traveled this way and attempted to revive the Dawnwalker Clan. It hit the sandy male badly, like a claw to his heart, all memories mixed with the worst fabrications. For he'd never known the fate of some of his companions and had been ashamed with himself for so long that even though Muroki was happy and at peace in the present...well, the past still packed a punch at any rate.
Leaving Johari and the others at their rest stop, Muroki went for a walk. The dream had shaken him as nothing had in a long while. His beloved would understand he needed a while alone and his bonded was away anyway.
((Okay! So. He's out walking and has Hisani on his mind. Oh the irony!))

Aleu’s paws had taken her to a place she didn’t know. Her soft eyes had become heavy with sleep and soon she found herself daydreaming into an unknown land. She couldn’t tell if her mate was still following her anymore, no. The lioness was in a daze.
Something about this play put her into an odd mood, as if she knew where she was… but she didn’t. It was such a confusing feeling to feel and she didn’t understand it at all. She knew this place, she just had to! Her fur and paws felt so at home here, every part of her body ached in a good way.
What was it? She didn’t know. Moving herself to stop Aleu’s eyes narrowed upon the figure of a male and with a soft, kind hearted tone she called out.
“Hello? I’m somewhat lost...”

(( o.o; *Didn't even know this thread had been created* =3 Good job I was browsing the Pride forums. *Snugs Edit and Tab* Sorry for the delay in replying! ))
Of course, Tumai was indeed still following Aleu. He would follow her to the ends of the Earth without question, despite his concern for her current state. She would just walk and walk without saying anything, as if she was in a trance. He had tried to bring her out of it, but with little success. Despite this, he tried to remain positive as he allowed Aleu to walk on ahead, giving her the space he believed she needed at this time.
When Aleu came to a stop, Tumai arrived at her side, relieved that she was speaking again. Smiling, he gave her a gentle nuzzle. "I love you." He whispered, before turning his attention to the figure in the distance that his mate had addressed. His jade-coloured eyes flickered briefly as he caught the scent of the male. A part of him was sure he had smelt that scent before, a very long time ago, but he shook it off quickly.

((I did PM you both XD' *fluffs*))
Muroki, still wary of being ensnared in a nightmare - have you ever woken from a nightmare into what you thought was the waking world, only to be scared once more? - insantly turned to face the direction of the voice. Upwind, h could smell nothing. The voice had sounded kindly...and in the deep dark of this night, Aleu's darker colour was harder to see in the long glass. A flash of the peachy gold of Tumai, so like his sisters, did show in the moonlight however.
For a moment, the Dawnwalker started. It couldn't be! Hisani. He padded forward, a blank expression on his face. Unsure. But it soon became obvious it wasn't her. But someone else from his young days. Someone else he'd seen born, but one of the two he didn't swear to protect. At least, he thought it was. They hadn't met since they were juveniles.
"Hello. Is that...Tumai, with you?"

Aleu dazed back into and smiled at her mate before the other figure called out. Her ears pinned backwards slowly as she frowned and nodded. Yes, it was him, why did it matter and how did this other know? Her soft blue eyes narrowed as she opened her jaws to speak.
“Yes, it is..”
She seemed unsure. How did they know him? Her eyes slowly turned to her mate as she looked him over, as if looking for an answer.
“Do you know him, love?”

Tumai was somewhat confused as to how anyone could know his name, considering he had never been to this area before. Eyes narrowed, he peered in the direction the voice had come from, until the figure finally came into full view. "Muroki?" He blinked in shock at seeing the male, who he hadn't seen in ages.
Smiling, he turned to Aleu. "I know Muroki from my younger days in the Ngorongoro Crater. He was my sister's best friend, and he looked after her and my mother when I was not around." Although he had visited his mother and his sister a lot during his younger days, he hadn't gotten to know Muroki as well as he would've liked to. Despite this, he was happy to see golden male. "How have you been? Are you and Hisani still best friends?"

Muroki looked beyond surprised, almost shocked, for a moment. So it was him!
"...I'd like to think that we are, and will be again, if our paths should ever meet again. Hisani vanished a while ago - just when my mane had grown in, so a few seasons past." Had it really been so long? And it was true enough, they'd been best friends. Sweet hearts too and almost, almost more. But Tumai didn't need to know that just off the bat.
"How have you been? And whose this lovely creature?" Muroki came to himself once more and offered a smile to the female. Back to being a friendly guy, even if he was shaken. To have a nightmare of Hisani and now run into her brother...
