Mtembei really needed to learn to keep his mouth shut.
Really.
He had swore up and down to himself that he would keep his victory a secret, but... Come on! How could he? There was no way he could pass the opportunity to brag to his sisters just a little, tiny bit!
It figured his dad would choose that minute to walk by. Walk by and hear his tale of victory. Dad didn't consider it a victory like he did. He scolded him for it and give him yet another lecture. Even though Mtembei hadn't really said who his opponent was, and was careful not to use 'she' or 'her' in his story, Banji had figured out it was a girl he fought with.
And he was being punished for it. By the worst way a cub could be punished: Time out.
Banji had plopped him down under a tree and told him in the voice only Mom had used before (you know, that parenty one that had the 'You BETTER listen to me!' tone) that he had to stay there until he told him it was okay to move.
That had been hours ago! Maybe days! (Okay, it'd been about ten minutes realistically, but still!)
"Uggghhhh!" the cub groaned, plopping down and rolling in the dirt.
This was sooo boring!

"Die, die, die!" She growled at the ground, seemingly. Her paw was smacking against the dirt and on the first 'die' a horrible crunching sounded. She giggled as she lifted up her paw to examine the guts of an unfortunate beadle. Oh she'd slayed him really good! "And soon I will be slaying little jerks who bother me and have no right to lay their grimy little paws on me.." She hissed quietly to herself, moving along. She was speaking, of course, about that stupid boy she'd met the other day. She'd asked her father for some 'warrior lessons' when she found him and wouldn't tell him why she wanted them. They weren't very grand anyways, he taught her about discipline and patients and honor and other boring crap she hadn't bothered to pay any attention to. None of that taught her how to whoop that brats behind into tomorrow!
And unfortunately (for him or her?) she spotted him just ahead, under a tree. Rolling in dirt because he was a filthy little... dirt roller! Hah! She slowed down and wondered if she should go somewhere else to play? She hadn't gotten any better or stronger yet! What if he attacked her again?

Mtembei's father wasn't much better. He wouldn't teach him any 'fighting moves' at all. Instead of going on about honor, he went on about courtesy and avoiding fights all together. What a sissy! He also continously rambled about not hitting girls. Hmph! If they deserved it wouldn't shouldn't he whack them one good?
Mtembei ceased his rolling and stared up the sky. He lay on his back now, and hearing footsteps not too far up ahead of him, awkwardly searched (upside down) for the source of the noise. Ah HA! He'd recognize that little yellow eye sore anywhere!
Don't say anything, the annoying voice that sounded supiciously like Banji in the back of his head warned him. He was in time out, less he forget. It was better if he just let her go. It was better if he just kept to himself. It was better if he just--
"HEY! Hey you! Back for another beat down?"
Mtembei needed to learn to keep his mouth shut.
Really really.

She winced slightly as she heard him and made a face, sticking her tongue out at him. Darn! Now she couldn't sneak off... she wasn't afraid, really! He'd just proven himself last time and she hadn't thought of a good plan yet.
Should she say anything back? Where were Ally and Inny when you needed them! Dern one day she and her sisters were going to come upon him and he'd be so sorry! "Shut up you!" She hissed out, looking sullen though. "Having fun rolling in dirt, dirtboy?" So she wasn't very creative with names, who cared?
She still did not move from her spot though.

Mtembei gave her a dull stare. Dirtboy? Seriously? "Wow, you're weak and stupid. Why don't you run back home to your Daddy?" He hoped that she would. Because she was too big a sissy to come too close to him, and well...
Well, maybe he didn't want to move from HIS spot and get in trouble, okay?

Her eyes widened and then narrowed, it was rather comical. Stupid? Weak? "I am neither of those things!" She declared, raising a brow. Wait, why hadn't he attacker her yet? Ohh... "Bein' chicken huh? I could whoop you into tomorrow! Last time I just wasn't ready." She bluffed. She had been ready... as ready as anyone could be when getting into a fight. But still!
"Pffft maybe you should run back to your mommy! You'll certainly need her when I'm through with you!" She took a few steps forward. Wow, big talkers weren't they?

"You're just not worth moving for!" Yeah, that was it! It wasn't that he was afraid of further punishment from his stupid dad, it was just that she wasn't worth him moving for.
Moving as in walking. He did move. The cub got to his paws and crounched down in that same supposedly threatening pose as before. "Come over here and I'll show you all over again!"

Take a nap? Boring! Despite her parents wishes she had slipped from the den to find her sister, who hadn't been forced to endure such torture since she was already out and about. Alcippe didn't mind though...sneaking out was way more fun then just wandering off! She bounded through the grass, humming a bit to herself as she grinned and tried to stalk her missing sibling. It took her a long time to find her, but when she did she was hard to miss; she knew that kind of shout anywhere!
"Vikki!" She called beforing making a few thumping jumps to land near her sister, blue eyes full of mischief and curiousity, "Who're you yelling at Vikki?"

Hearing her sister's voice was definitely a confidence booster. After all... he wouldn't try and fight her again with another girl around right? He'd be outnumbered! "Ally!" She purred, turning and nuzzling into her sister, biting her ear and giving it a friendly tug. "Just some stupid dirtboy." She hissed out, still not knowing his name. She really, really needed to call him something else.
"Who's a chicken and thinks he can beat me up!" She pointedly forgot the again. She wasn't one to attack first but she did start stalking toward him, now that her sister was there. "Pfft you can't show your own food it's way into your mouth!" She replied. Laaame.

Yeah, one would think.
Mtembei was only the brightest of the litter in way of appearence. As far as intelligence went, he probably came in dead last. He didn't think, Banji accused. He certainly wasn't thinking when his pose became more 'fierce'.
"I did beat you up! And I'll do it again with your family watching!"

"Dirtboy?" Alci asked curiously, eyeing the other cub with only mild interest. Boys were not held to very high standards in her mind, apart from her father. She figured since none had been born into their family, which was the strongest family ever by the way, they must not be as good. "Hhmph! Yeah, I'd like to see you take one of us, let alone two. Aparently you can't count, dirtboy! Best learn your numbers!" Alci jeered with a wiggle of her rump and a showing of her pink tongue.

God. Stupid brothers. Why did Mommy have to give them one? Akasha was sulking around, bored to tears. There was nothing to do out here! Not that it was really any different from anywhere else, but she didn't know any better, so she would complain about it all she wanted to. Hmph. She had overheard that her brother was in time out though, something that she probably wasn't supposed to know. Who cares? Kashi would go harass him anyway. Nothing better then to bug your own brother for fun!
Once she got there, though, she saw that her brother already had company! Well, that was dull, she wanted to bother him on her own. Oh well. The black and indigo coloured cub trotted down to the time-out zone, humming to herself until she realized that something else was going on.
She slowed her pace as she reached her brother, staying on his side of their little divide, but certainly not snuggling up to him like the other girls had. She would rather be caught dead then snuggling that fluff of...fluff!
"What the heck are ya doin', 'Bei?"

She grinned and her tail flicked, it was much easier having her sister around to deal with this little jerk! She stopped suddenly when another little girl came into view and her eyes ran over the bright purple. Sister? It was his sister, it must have been.
Who was 'Bei? Her eyes rolled toward the boy and she pressed herself closer to her sister, waiting to see what would happen with this new entry to their little 'pow-wow'.

"Your nicknames are as stupid as you are!" he hissed at the new arrival. Let her come. He wasn't scared. Two girls, four girls, it didn't matter. Anything related to that little yellow menance he'd take down just like he had with her before!
Once he got rid of another problem. "I'm fightin', Akasha, go away."

"You're just saying that cause you know we're right!" Alci scoffed, rolling her eyes. She flicked her ears to the side slightly, eyeing the new girl with wary curiousity. She had no problem playing with other girls...if they liked the same games that is. Try to get her flower picking and Alci wasnt' likely to stick around. She wondered if this girl would support her brother and if she and Vikki would have an "equal" fight on their hands.
