Well, here we've come to the dreadful matter of money. But as they say, good transactions make good friends. So, here's what we have to say:
Subscriptions
All new members pay nothing for their first month of stay- think of it as a trial. If people want to stay, they have to pay 500 a month, beforehand. This will grant them a full month of play, but if they have not paid the next month before the end, they will not be allowed to play. Of course, months add up. e.g. If you pay for the next month halfway in this month, you have one more month, not 15 days!
Premium packages:
3 Months: 1400
6 Months: 2600
12 Months: 5000
No member (including the captain) is exempt from this rule. All submissions will be paid to the guild's mule, aptly named The Paymaster. I will track all transactions and make sure you get your money's worth.
Gamemasters
These are the people that the rest are here for. They are the ones running the campaigns and creating the worlds for others to play. Once a person becomes Gamemaster, and of course as long as he is, he is exempt from the subscriptions. However, in order to create another motive, gamemasters are paid a modest amount.
A Gamemaster's salary is per campaign- that is, a base of 500 plus 100 per person participating actively. Of course, campaigns will be monitored to make sure you are not just hoarding money. It's more of a symbolic amount, really, to make the effort worth it and to set some standards. Same persons in multiple campaigns do count for each campaign separately, as long as they are participating.
Of course, the reason they gain such benefits is simple: They are expected to be able and have the time to manage the campaigns they're in. After all, if people don't like a campaign, they leave, and that means less money! And, since every member is audited, there's no way, really, that a bad roleplayer will be allowed on board.
Also, to become a gamemaster, each campaign's subforum must be paid by him. Occasional great ideas, of course, might receive funding from the guild, but that's rare.
Academy Faculty
As said, teachers in the Academy of Roleplaying are compensated for the time they invest. According to their rank in the Academy, they receive the following money per month (subjects are irrelevant):
Dean: 2000
Master Teacher: 1000
Teachers: 500
Sub Teachers: 200
Assistants: 0
Even though assistants receive no money, like all faculty they are exempt from subscriptions.
How to get a job in the Academy is another matter entirely. Only the Guild Captain can hire people, so as to make sure no scams are allowed. And of course all faculty are monitored to make sure they do their work right.
